This is, like the most milquetoast rating imaginable. Like, I'm not exactly a forum veteran, but I think I can do the entire thread myself in a single post. Person A: 825,000? Seems kind of low, doesn't it? Person B: I'm sure cable was down overall. .29 is a pretty good demo, I bet it was #1 on the night. AEW is killing it. Person C: Yeah, but look at the year over year numbers, they are down significantly. That's interesting, right? AEW's storylines clearly aren't very hot right now. *Hilarious Mothman meme doompost about the impending death of AEW.* Actually thread: talking about the importance of storylines ,type of storylinws and the jump of MJF and Cole. And Mothman Doompost

After the success of Roman/Sami and Cole/MJF, I am convinced the best drawing storyline in wrestling is a will they/won't they bromance angle. I think it is a very compelling yet simple storyline specially because it allows to explore the dynamics of two different characters while having internal conflict and not only external. One of the big things on any media today is character interaction and conflicts. Which is also why the Hangman story up the title win was so compelling. People wants the characters to affect and develop each other

Jericho/Kommander got the drop it deserved. Unappealing television. MJF and Cole are hitting well right now. It’s almost like this whole MJF as a face thing….works. Blaming that match is weird behavior when the rating only bumped up at all when MJF/Cole came on, which is proving to be a very hot program right now Jericho vs a Luchadore was a classic battle and Jericho usually draws, show opened lower and in the end saw rises on the night so that's not bad Blood and Guts numbers are gonna be interesting.

They really have a chance to do something creative and unique with MJF as a babyface. I hope they don't blow it. Again. (I count his "you f***ing mark!" phase, and having the crowd being 100% behind him as a face run. Dude was a face. Til he did the same ol shit)
