I understand that from a moral perspective, but if it was more business than personal feelings, what was he realistically going to do in the company even if Vince was out of the picture?

EY is surprisingly very creative, and I believe the last time he got released he said he was being trained to become an agent/producer so maybe he thought that was the path again?

I mean, if that's the case (and wrestlers are a weird sort so who knows?), that does at least put him in a better standing then people higher up who'd have a better reason to say that they're not willing to work with Vince so good for him.
But to add to this, how did nobody in the wrestling media know Eric Young was released around 90 days ago? This is Roderick Strong all over again in another guy who'd very clearly be back in Impact Wrestling the moment that ended and somehow nobody knew he was released until right now? How are we privy to main eventers bickering at the end of a show and not about this sort of stuff? It's so weird.

I could easily see EY being put in a creative role after he retired. As much as WWE LOVES to bury former TNA guys on screen, they also love to hire them for creative positions. Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams and Jeremy Borash either currently work for or have worked backstage for WWE in the last few years.

I do find it funny that they decided to pay him an additional 90 days so he couldn't show up elsewhere when barely anyone even knew he was with them to begin with.

So if that’s the case…why were they teasing a Sanity return for a good few months? Was this their backup after Damo rejected a return?

I have gotten the impression a couple times (this, when Damage Control started) that WWE has a couple times come up with an idea for creative and decided to go with that... without making sure everyone who would be involved was down and signed.... and again you cannot convince me that when Damage Control signed the idea wasn't to have Sasha and Naomi team with Bianca against them.

Oh yeah, that whole segment was designed for Sasha and Naomi to appear with Becky still being a heel for a bit longer so you’re probably right there.
