The one about censored songs inspired me to do this. However, in the past I had done threads about TV cuts of movies. However, for the 10-15 years (maybe more), we've also had TV shows get put on basic cable and network TV. Then again, I recall earlier examples of HBO TV shows coming to network TV as far back as the 1990s when Fox aired "Tales from the Crypt" and "Dream On."
Also, being that we are in an age of where TV versions still have a lot of words intact (save for the F-word, unless it's shown late at night), there are some censors when it comes to nudity and sex. In the past, I recall TV cuts where some violence was toned down. I'll start.
This is my go-to example:
What I find funny is that in the desert scene, one line is more offensive than in the full version.
I also recall watching the TV version of 1996's "Fled." I could understand censoring the strip club scene by omitting some of it. However, I recall during shootouts, the TV cut had parts where there was a minor cut after a gunshot, so it left out parts when squibs were used and just showed the reactions to getting shot. It was the same thing in 1996's "Bulletproof."
What are your examples?

Only cause my family and I ended up being obsessed with it all week when we were vacationing in Vegas, the time in a TBS airing of Dirty Dancing (or maybe Footloose) when they censored a character to say "FLAKE OFF!"
TBS Carrie airings that replaced all the times John Travolta was called "stupid shit" with...silence. Yet they never caught the "Carrie White Eats Shit" epithet written on the door.
TNT (I think, maybe even Monstervision airing) and The Fly '86: I remember them completely cutting out Brundle's final transformation, so you just see him as the fly creature out of nowhere.
ABC's airings of the Grease movies in the 80s. Especially Grease 2, which had to cut out at least one total musical number ("Reproduction," of course), which led to a scene where the students meet Mr. Stuart...then they're shown just leaving the classroom right after.
WCW shows in the UK that replaced weapon shots with Batman '66 like graphics.

I remember Young Guns had a bunch of hilarious edits back in the day. I only remember “Colonel Shithead” being replaced by “Colonel Chilihead” though. LMAO

Snakes on a Plane has a tremendous television edit. They seemingly had fun with it, and set out to make it as entertaining as possible.
I mean, come on, "Monkey fighting snakes on this Monday to Friday plane"? That's everybody having fun with editing it for television.

To this day, I still cringe at the edit for the TV version of the movie Major League at the end when Vaughn comes out of the bullpen to get the last out in the Top of the 9th. Vaughn and unknowingly banged his teammate's (Roger Dorn) wife. Vaughn was nervous that Dorn was going to beat his a** right there... Dorn came over and said, "I've only got one thing to say to you. Strike this MFer out.". At least that's what said on the theatrical version. On TV, Dorn says, "I've only got one thing to say to you. Strike this GUY out.". It's just the way it sounds that makes me laugh every single time! LOL

The #1 absolutely funniest censored line in a TV Edit of a film was in Me, Myself & Irene. Any instance with the word "Motherf***er" or Motherf***ing" was replaced with "Mamma-Jamma" or "Mamma-Jamming" respectively.

Back in the day I remember catching an airing of Ferris Bueller's Day Off on PBS of all places where they edited the line:
Ferris: He's so tense you could shove a piece of coal up his ass and you'd get a diamond.
to
Ferris: He's so tense you could shove a piece of coal in his fist and you'd get a diamond.
Made funnier due to the fact the edited line sounded like text to speech.

Many years ago, for reasons unknown, mainstream British channel ITV decided to show Robocop midweek at about 8.30 at night. Edits galore ensued, but my favourite was the convenience store robber repeating ‘WHY ME?!?!’ over and over.

"Yippi-Kah-Yay, Mr. Falcon!" "You see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?!?!?!" Phoebe Bridgers has a song called "Stranger in the Alps". It is a well known edit. I remember BTTF 2 on the USA Network. When Marty is in the pond and sees Griff's gang fly through the courthouse window: "Holy Jeeze!" "Holy" was Marty's voice and "Jeeze" was a much bassier, deeper voice.

For example, when old Biff said "Especially the son of someone who's a complete butthead" and you hear a weird sound over it. When it showed the third film, when Needles said "How's it hanging, McFly?", it was replaced with "How's it happening, McFly?"

In Yugioh 5ds, Yusei beats up some security guards who get in his way.
When 4Kids did that scene, they added flashes to try and block the scene of him hitting them, but they missed and it looks like something out of Street Fighter with the effects they did when he punches them.

Fat Chronic blunt became FAT KARATE PUNCH
The stink palm became "Moldy pretzels" and there is many other changes.

My personal favorite is Coming to America.
GOOD MORNING MY NEIGHBORS F!#% YOU YES YES F!#$ YOU TOO
The edit changed F!#$ to screw. It's butchered so bad in the edit that it had to be done on purpose for a gag.

TBS was the king of terrible censors back in the day though I've forgotten them. Between that and the crazy long commercial breaks I completely gave up on ever trying to watch a movie on it.
Showcase here in Canada actually had commercials mocking the censoring of movies on tv because after 9pm or so they would pretty much censor nothing.
