well someone has to teach people how to punch, why not the person who has to pull his earth shattering punches. shane has to, the eternal dragon gets so sick of seeing him & rebuilding the earth every time shane has a match.

So we just automatically believe what Gerwitz writes about these people? I’m not saying we should but I also struggle to get what he’d get out of lying about things. WWE: Gerwitz, we don’t like what you wrote about us even though you probably got it legally approved by us beforehand and such, you’re not allowed back in our company again for work. Gerwitz: Oh. Ok. *hangs up and goes back to working in Seven Pounds Productions and working with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on projects* I mean like everything I'm sure there's at least a layer of exaggeration, misremembering all the details, and only getting one side of the story... but nothing he wrote here really goes against much of what we've heard about others. Taker making someone write an essay kinda is... but not entirely that far considering how he was brought up in the business of outsiders aren't welcome... and here's a guy from outside wrestling showing up basically to tell him what to do.

Yeah, like Heyman doesn't typically try to fight people physically, I guess, but him losing his cool is definitely well documented, or otherwise being impulsive. Like, none of that surprises me if it happened. Dude is overdramatic and prone to theatrics.

Heyman is a monumental POS, but he’s also very charming and can make you feel like he’s on your side and a good guy even while burying you to whoever is in charge that day with an almost certainty. Taker giving out homework like a middle school teacher, knowing damn well he didn’t read that shit. That early 2000s time period had to be brutal for a newcomer to WWE, even veterans coming from WCW weren't safe. You had Taker as the head "locker room leader" while the dirty work was done by Bradshaw, Holly, Eddie and Benoit. I'll give it to Lesnar, he just had no time for that corny bullshit.

I'll give it to Lesnar, he just had no time for that corny bullshit. IIRC Bradshaw carried his bags even when Lesnar was just starting out. Not sure if this was just once or more often. With Lesnar's size and strength and having Vince's backing, he really could have done something to clean up the locker room but I get he really was just in it for the money.

I now have the mental image of Vince McMahon on a safari in full get up - safari hat, short sleeved button shirt, ascot, etc just standing next to a giraffe, red in the face, giving out to it about how it should be a killing machine while the giraffe is just casually eating leafs off a tree.

I read the book and I remember how Vince was amazed when he found out that hippos can eat people. Not in the book, but JR had to explain to Vince that somewhere on planet Earth, men found Asian women attractive. He was astonished there was a whole sub-category of Asian porn. He just automatically assumed every single man on Earth did not find Asian women attractive. "The Asian Porn community!?!"

I mean the guy wasn't in the business previously, and he doesn't look like a tough guy.
