From Fightful:
In addition to keeping a busy schedule in the ring and as AEW International Champion, Fightful Select has learned that Orange Cassidy has also picked up work as a producer/agent in All Elite Wrestling. We’ve specifically learned that he produced recent matches between Infantry vs. Kingdom and Big Bill & Brian Cage vs. Matt Sydal & Trent.
Producers/agents are on headset during the match, help make sure they’re on time, send directions to ringside, and also go over the matches with the talent themselves. They also relay pertinent spots to the television production so they know what to expect.

Probably losing the International title at either All In or All Out for sure, then.

Orange on the headset: "you got like some minutes left. i guess. whatever."
But really that's super interesting, I wouldn't have pegged him as the type to agent matches.

Orange Cassidy working two jobs is the biggest violation of kayfabe I've ever heard in my life.

Imagining the wrestlers pitching all kinds of dangerous spots for their matches and OC just going, "ok."

I doubt this does anything to his in-ring schedule but if Cage/Bill vs Trent/Matt is any indication, he's very good at this too. I very much welcome it.

I want agent OC to be the absolute opposite of wrestler OC.
OC: “AND THEN YOU GOTTA HIT THE DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE, THE DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! THE CLOTHESLINE! MAKE SURE YOU HIT IN WITHIN THE 15 min MARK! DON’T HIT IT ON FTR BALD HE WILL ONLY COME AND MOAN AT ME FOR GOODNESS SAKES! NO DANCING!”
MJF: “Woah ok dude chill”

But really that's super interesting, I wouldn't have pegged him as the type to agent matches. To me (imagining myself as the booker), he's the kind of wrestler that I would want to be good at producing, but I wouldn't assume he was good at it. Much like how some really good wrestlers are apparently terrible teachers because they don't even think about the stuff that makes them great, I would peg Orange as the kind of wrestler who can walk the walk but not transfer that to others in the form of advice. But when I think about it...this is a guy whose matches are very carefully put together. Orange matches tend to have planting and payoff; well timed swings in momentum; coherent stories; very intentional use of crowd-popping routines to manage the flow of crowd reaction. There are apparently wrestlers who can pull this sort of thing off without being able to tell someone else what they're doing, but upon hearing that Orange can in fact do that, it makes sense. TLDR: Orange being a good agent sounds like a "too good to be true" scenario, so if it's in fact true, hell yes.

I wouldn't be surprised that Orange Cassidy would be a good agent/producer. His kind of matches are rich in psychology and deliberate pacing. Understanding how those work in a match I imagine is fundamental to being a good producer.

This is not surprising to me at all. He’s a veteran of nearly 20 years in the business and he’s well liked and respected by everyone who he has worked with. Many people in the industry have talked about what a great wrestling mind he has and how good he is at ring psychology. He’s also still training wrestlers on the side when he’s able to. This is a perfect role for him.

Orange Cassidy is honestly the best wrestler I've ever seen in terms of blending modern wrestling workrate with old-school 'rasslin psychology and storytelling.
If he can bring even half of that to his agent work, then he'll be great at it

I don't think it's particularly surprising. You find oranges in the produce section.

Considering OC spent a majority of his career around Quack and being involved in a lot of emotional angles in CHIKARA and as a trainer, I figured he'd be good in the role... honestly I sometimes wonder if him being Fire Ant for so long and not really getting a lot of buzz as Orange Cassidy until like right before AEW was starting up makes people think OC hasn't been around as long as he was.
