I’m watching the Amazon prime documentary on the treble year of 1999. Some unreal footage from behind the scenes. Wild to think that Ferguson actually quit for a day before the season started. I can only imagine how history would have changed had he not changed his mind. I know!

Oxford win the League 1 play off pretty easily over Bolton 2-0. First time Oxford have been back at this level since 99.

De Zerbi is leaving Brighton after tomorrow. Makes me wonder if he’s already lined up a bigger job next season.

WELL DONE CRAWLEY defeating crewe to go up to the league one st johnstone survive in the scottish premiership, winning 1-2 over motherwell, unlike ross county, who blew it by drawing 2-2 with aberdeen, and LOSING OUT ON GOAL DIFFERENCE!!! ross county will play raith rovers, in the battle of the Rs for that place in the premiership! dramatics continue in the scotland as CELTIC WOMEN clinch their first scottish league title, rangers women were cruising over partick thistle women 4-0 and heading for the title, but a 90th minute winner sent parkhead into a lot of clapping and shouting and jumping up and down i assume

Day of mixed emotions for me:
Was at Wembley to see my home town club Crawley beat Crewe and go up to League One. Great day at Wembley
But Arsenal missed out on the league title. It was expected but why does it hurt so much? It’s the hope that kills you I guess.

Klopp's farewell speech was great. I loved him getting the crowd to chant for Arne Slot when the club haven't even officially announced him yet.
If Pep leaves next year and/or City are found guilty and get a serious punishment for those 115 charges it definitely feels like Arsenal are best placed to capitalize. They have a good, mostly young squad and are improving each year. They actually got more points than the Invincibles side from 20 years ago but at this point you need 90+ to win the league and as Liverpool know sometimes that's not even enough.
Ending the season on a good run of form doesn't magically mean you'll continue it into the start of the next but Chelsea and Crystal Palace ended very strongly. Chelsea lost 1 of their last 15 and Palace have been great since Glasner took over.
Man United have been a disaster. 8th and having a negative goal difference is embarrassing. Winning the FA Cup might be enough to keep Ten Hag in charge but if they start next season poorly I think he'll be gone quickly. Even if he does pull off the upset and win the FA Cup I still wouldn't be shocked if they let him go like Van Gaal in 2016.

It'll be as if Liverpool are the defending champions (they would be the last offically recognized champions having won it in the pandemic interrupted 2019-20 season) unless the premier league retroactively makes the runner ups of the 21,22,23 and 24 seasons champions

and if that wasn't REEEEEdiculous ... CHELSEA are in europe! (conference league play-off round) a sixth place from literally nothing if man city win the fa cup next week, they'll be upgraded to a better competition (europa league group stage), and newcastle will scrap in i believe also the scottish premiership this season, there was ZERO hat tricks!!! wonder how many braces that is

Yep right now Newcastle are hoping for Man U to lose the FA Cup final so they can qualify for the Conference league. Man U have to win the FA Cup to qualify for the Europa League. Chelsea will be in the Europa League if Man U don’t win the FA Cup then they will be in the conference league. Spurs Europa League place is secure after finishing 5th.
Villa firmly on the beach after losing 5 nil at a promising Palace side. We’ll see how next season starts for them. They’ve been in the Prem for over 10 years and their best finish is 10th. Can they progress?
I’m trying to stay away from any news stories about Man City but it’s damn impossible. If it’s not Arsenal can it please be someone else next year?

England's provisional Euro 2024 squad:
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), James Trafford (Burnley).
Defenders: Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Harry Maguire (Manchester United), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Kyle Walker (Manchester City).
Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace).
Forwards: Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), James Maddison (Tottenham), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ivan Toney (Brentford), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).
No Rashford, Henderson, Sterling or Phillips. Chilwell, Reece James, Sancho & Ward Prowse also miss out. Quansah & Wharton are the big surprises I think.

Pochettino gone from Chelsea. Unless it was his choice seems like a dumb decision.
He was turning things around after a rough start and ended the season one of the form sides in the league. Seemed like he had just started forming a connection with the fans too.
I guess he'll end up being one of the 400 people who've been linked with the Bayern job in the past few weeks. Crazy how many people have turned down that job to the point that even Vincent Kompany is being mentioned now after a relegation season.
