Reminds me of being reported Roman is gonna lose the title only when Roman and Heyman want to.
Its clear Roman had the luxury and spotlight he wants which no one gets.

I'm glad to hear this. All too often you see someone get handed the keys to the kingdom, the brass ring, and everyone has to act happy about it. It's like how Edge mentioned his live sex celebration getting mad ratings but they still went back to Super Cena weeks later, and he was like "the audience is telling you they want something different..."
I don't think this is BURIAL! but it's just an honest take from Sheamus while still showing respect to Roman. And quite frankly, he's not wrong.
Roman's character work/storyline is good (great when it's focused) but they don't need 45 minute segments on Smackdown or 40 minute matches of the same Roman formula of "do a move then shit talk for 5 minutes, do another move talk to the crowd for 5 minutes, do another move and make faces for 5 minutes until interference helps him win".
And as annoyed as Sheamus has to be, I imagine people like Bayley are even more annoyed with it.

So much of what he says could also apply to himself (shoved down throats, nobody gave a shit etc) except Sheamus was a flop and Roman is a success.

Yeah I'm sure Sheamus isn't the only one on Smackdown frustrated that the Bloodline get so much time (and it'll trickle down to Raw guys and girls now it's affecting their PPV appearances) but Sheamus is 45, he's already won everything, as long as he hasn't been dumb he should be financially set up for life, and AEW or NJPW would be more than happy to pad out his retirement fund for a 1-2 year run. In other words Sheamus doesn't give a feck and can say what he likes.

Vince watched the fanbase eventually just lie back and accept it with Cena, and he thought he had a new formula on his hands where he could force his chosen brass ringer's on the audience and they'd cave in at some point. Dude never learned his lesson either as he was actively doing it again with Theory.

There has to be a little bit of resentment with talent when it comes to Roman, He is taking up tons of tv time,he is being pushed beyond the moon and never puts anyone over in the ring. Wrestling Roman cant be great for guys when they know they will 100 percent going to lose. You have to wonder if Roman is being a bit selfish or if the company just want him to keep going,Roman has the power to say "yes ill put this guy over" at any time he wants but its clear that we wont be seeing that for a long time to come, and as long as he is in that spot with the bloodline, they will continue to take time from other talent and from the women who are suffering the most. Is Roman really a big draw at all? i do seem to read a lot more negativtiy about him then positive online too.

I imagine he might agree about his early run, but I think the key difference is that while Sheamus did eventually right the ship, he’s saying most guys never get the leeway and freedom Roman’s gotten to really do something new while trying to do so…and now it’s bleeding over into making it harder for other wrestlers to try and do something similar because of how long Roman’s segments go. It’s tough; Roman’s doing big numbers for them, so of course he’s going to get a lot of time, but I get the frustration that he got so much room to work on this angle when most wrestlers have to make due with far less.

Like, from what’s being rumored, Roman might not be on TV again until closer to Survivor Series which I can imagine burns into a lot of people working every week who then have to worry about their TV time being cut when the Bloodline Variety Hour returns.

I can only think it's because Roman is apparently a nice guy in real life that there hasn't been more resentment. I don't think anyone has ever been pushed as hard and given as many chances as Roman was before finally getting over. I mean the guy had about 3 or 4 Wrestlemania main events in a row that were all absolutely terrible in front of crowds that didn't give a shit and at the time there were definitely babyfaces on the roster much more popular and over than he was. The heel Tribal Chief run has been a total success, no arguments there. But again it has taken the company giving him a stronger push than anyone since maybe 80s Hogan to get there. I'm sure everyone personally likes Roman but I'd be surprised if there's not a lot of resentment and frustration at his booking over the last 10 plus years.

Like it'd be hard not to sympathise with Roman's whole story and that being part of the reason why he's being afforded so much time off but like you said, there have been people who were over, who did the right steps and the first second it didn't work out, they got thrown under the bus as quickly as they got to ride on it. There are people on the roster finding that out, or have found that out in Sheamus' case, first hand in different ways. And like you said, The Bloodline is an objective success across the board but I also couldn't help but blame anyone curious about what'll happen when this thing ends and it does have to end at some point.

The 20 minute thing simply cannot be true. I broke down on one of the threads a few weeks ago that if that segment really went over by 20 minutes then the original plan was for it to go 5 minutes and 38 seconds. Those 5 minutes and 38 seconds included everybody's entrances and a 1 minute and 35 second video.

Not to sound like an old person, but I remember when the WWE Champion had to defend his title at every PPV.

Makes sense that wrestlers would be jealous of someone being pushed over them, that’s how it’s always been. Hard to argue that it’s not working for the company, though.

Wouldn’t say that he’s criticizing Roman personally. More like how WWE uses him.
Reminds me of how CM Punk made it clear he liked John Cena personally. But he was frustrated at WWE’s obsession with him.
That’s WWE’s MO. Instead of seeing a story works, figuring out why it works, and making other good stories as well. They instead just run the good story into the ground until people get tired of it eventually.

Oh oh oohhh! These words are true!
It's got to be frustrating how Roman was given everything. I like Roman, I think he's good; but, he is not head and shoulders above anyone else. He didn't work harder than anyone else to earn his spot. He certainly ain't working harder than anybody now. Roman didn't grab the brass ring. Vince just gave it to him.
I guess this happens in every company when someone less deserving gets the promotion. And in every company, employees resent it.
