I think the hot crowd really helped make this one better than it had any right to be on paper.
A really good opening match between OC and Yuta.
That pop for Eddie!
Kenny Omega's no good very bad day.
I LOVE DON CALLIS'S PAINTINGS. It's such a genius prop in the hands of the right character, and the right style. This is also a good way to get Sammy over.
Full on Joker Sting?! f*** yeah.
Adam Cole: Dude, I LOVE OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE! MJF: Don't fraternize with THE ENEMY!
Gold. Just gold.
Lobster MJF cutting a promo. I thought this segment went on too long. I thought that last week as well. Someone else could have gotten the rub from the ROH title match. I get it's a way to get eyes on the pre-show and tempt more buyers, but you have a roster of 2,333 people....
Solid Jericho promo. Is "the Ocho" officially a new gimmick? Will it be as cornball as the Painmaker? Stay tuned.
Speaking of cornball, I was on board with the Chainsaw Deathmatch until Leatherface came out. Once again, I get why, but it was so "Dixie Carter era TNA" of AEW. I didn't like that.
The lone women's match was alright. Weakest of the night for me.
Main event was good, but I don't think it should have closed the show.
In spite of the cornball stuff, I enjoyed the shit out of this one. I didn't even care about the 214 beatdowns. You're building like 20 different stories with 197 different people for a massive PPV. Easiest way to do it honestly. Lazy? Yeah. But still.
A smoke, and a fun-off-the walls wrestling show made for a pleasant night. 8/10

I went 7. The MJF/Cole stuff is some of the best in wrestling right now and there will never be a truly BAD AEW show in my eyes, but it was pretty average.
As an aside, I wonder if Hangman's banged up. He hasn't wrestled a singles match since May and seems to have settled back into the "Kenny Omega's buddy" role which is kind of lame. They didn't really capitalize on his momentum after that killer match with Moxley at Revolution, IMO.

Mental show in a lot of ways. Gets an 8 for silly Leatherface bollocks, MJF Kangaroo kick business & Joker Sting hilarity. Also JR’s heel turn was unexpected. Why didn’t you help Kenny JR?!?!?!

Struggling to score this one. In many ways the show was bad but it was never ever boring. That first hour was a wild.

After much consideration, I decided to give it a 6. From a wrestling standpoint, this show was a mess. But it was also a very entertaining mess in some respects. Like the Texas Chainsaw Deathmatch was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen but I loved it because it was so entertainingly (and likely intentionally) bad. The Cole/MJF segments were wonderful and the progressively more injured Roderick Strong was hilarious. But besides the OC vs Yuta match, a lot of them weren't really good. Also way too many heel beatdowns leading to face rescues that got really repetitive. It's funny that Collision tends to get thought of as the "WWE-style show" when last night's Dynamite could've posed as a lost episode of Raw from 1998 minus the excessive raunchiness.
So as far as actual matches go, 3 out of 10. For entertainment value, 9 out of 10. That averages out to a 6 lol.

I have no idea how to rate this show. Yeah awful at points but still entertaining. I go with the logic of make it good if you can but if not just don't be boring and it succeeded in that respect. I'd rather have entertaining nonsense than say Lethal Vs Kyle O'Reilly having a technically good match I don't care about. I suppose a 5 on balance.

I am still just questioning what hospital or paramedic (or local medical facility) leaves the ambulance on with the car doors open but the garage/intake door shut.

Yeah, I'm between a 6 and a 7, that show was like a fever dream.
Can't say it was boring, but I do prefer more strong matches on my show, so I can't go too high.
