Yeah, I think the ideal situation would be to freebird the Tag Titles for Wembley while suspending Cash, and Dax could pick a partner to go against the Bucks. But I'm not sure who that'd be currently on the AEW roster. Briscoe is sadly injured for the foreseeable future. Edge for the surprise entry apparently wouldn't be possible until the end of September. Punk is just asking for trouble, and he's already committed to the Samoa Joe match even if it wasn't.
I guess there's always Shawn Spears or Wardlow.

Why would I feel bad for a guy who flashed a gun at someone? I mean, nobody forced him to act that way and this kind of answer, as well as MJF's, feels like they're trying to minimize the situation. Those defending FTR Hair make it sound like what he did was a mistake. Leaving the faucet open is a mistake. Keeping food in the oven 5 minutes too long is a mistake. Swerving on the road and brandish a gun to a civilian at 10 am, have a warrant on your name and then go in and out of the country and then try to keep this clusterf*** under wraps isn't a mistake.

He'll be replaced by Darby Allin. If Darby can have a Dynamite feud and a Collision feud then he can take Cash's place too.

Literally salivating at the thought of all the chants Cash is going to get at Wembley. At least the first portion of the match is going to be one big 80k shitpost I hope so. Let's just say the fan reaction to Cash I've seen on social media hasn't exactly been the most condemning of his actions as I would hope. Way too many people valuing "good wrassler" over "he f***ing flashed his piece at someone." No the Wembley crowd are going to get him bad. Punk too.

I have no strong opinion either way on what they should do, but 'do the match at Wembley but have him lose' as though that's some sort of punishment, is insane to me. It's scripted entertainment, the money and the spot are the rewards. If Marvel tried to justify keeping Jonathan Majors because Kang loses in the end they'd be ridiculed. "We don't have to change our plans, keep our high profile match, he keeps his money and gets a prominent spot on the card BUT loses a fake fight... deal?" Are you genuinely under the impression that's what people mean? Like, say the match gets called off. He's still tag champion. If you strip him of the titles, that punishes Dax, who hasn't done anything wrong, along with the Bucks. If he loses the titles, he is no longer champion and misses out on future big matches, but the others aren't missing one of the biggest shows of their career because he was a dumbf***. Like, it's not complicated, honestly. Luckily for them, AEW is a fictional world where they write the storylines and fix the matches. There is no reason why Cash not being in the match has to affect any of those things you mentioned. "I'm taking what Cash did seriously, but what about this minor inconvenience to a wrestling show that could be written around a million different ways?" is a contradiction in terms.

I can't wait for in six months when a tag team says 'I know you like to SHOOT, Cash' and everyone goes ohhhhh

If it turns out Cash has some undiagnosed mental illness or something then I'll feel sorry for him. Until then, nah, f*** him.

I mean if you need a gimmick punishment for FTR... Though tbh I'd rather see actual consequences for y'know, casually threatening to murder someone during road rage. I've always wondered what this gimmick would have been like if they actually went through with it, what would be the explanation for why they're wearing the outfits? what would their new theme sound like?I'll hazard a guess: rave.dj/o7sifTLuCV0Mwg

I think the anxiety over the match being intact is pretty reasonable right now, because AEW has kind of shown that it either does things right on the spot, or not at all. Maybe they finish up the Wembley match and then Cash gets suspended, but it really feels like AEW needs to prove that's a thing they do before it can feel like a given.

True, even that wouldn't excuse it, just at least then on some level I could bring myself to stop and consider what he's going through instead of being entirely concerned about, y'know, his victim.

And, just to keep banging on my 'he should get help' drum, if there is something he can be treated for, then getting it will get a gun-showing-free Cash Wheeler. If there's some diagnosable thing he has that can be addressed and even medicated if that's the kind of solution it calls for, then it's better for him and everyone around him if he can get that. Easier to get better, easier to mend his reputation. A tangible reason for it that isn't just him beng a violent dickhead.

If Cole and MJF can pull double duty, give Wheeler Yuta a mullet wig and insert him into the match without even mentioning it.

It just hit me, he's almost certainly done this before, right? It's not the type of thing somebody does just once. Like, there's probably other motorists before and after the reported one that he did it too who did get the plate or didn't call it in.
I don't know how you reform that.

I’m on the camp of thinking what he did was inexcusable. I’m not going to psycho analyze him one way or another. But there is this and the Bret hart attacker incident (regardless if one deemed it justified or not) that shows he has somewhat violent/anger issues. You’d think at the least, the company would send him to some sort of anger management.

The issue there is that it would basically be announcing "THE BUCKS ARE WINNING, YOU GUYS!" Which, was probably a given, anyway, but I get why they would not want to do that, even if it should not be a priority exactly right now.

So we have gone from not knowing for sure Wheeler is guilty of doing what he is accused of doing to he is a criminal multiple times over? What Wheeler is accused of doing is awful and he needs to be suspended if found guilty or settles his case without going to trial with him being guilty of a lesser charge. But we don’t know Wheeler’s side of this event. Lets this play out a bit before you all condemn him as a multiple time criminal. Everyone is trying to be more righteous than the next in your comments. Lots of time to blast the guy for being a complete idiot but let it play out.

Or we can discuss what we actually know he's been accused of instead of imagining him to be some sort of career offender. This is a very dangerous line of thinking.

Reading between the lines of Thunder Rosa's comments there's something she can't say but would make her, MJF an others sympathetic. Could be illness, bereavement or another kind of shitty high stress personal situation. However as someone else said that's mitigation more than an excuse. If things are that bad he shouldn't have a gun and maybe shouldn't be driving either.
