Seeing her on the show...Missy Hyatt would be a potential future subject too... She's probably too much of a talking head for them now, given lots of people not wanting to do it, for them to humiliate her with an episode.

If you remember her autobiography, and yes, I owned a copy, she doesn't exactly hide her life and past. Quite literally, an open book!

Someone even Vince thought was too cheap to use has to have a hell of a lot of stories to tell.

Did I miss anything?

The last part of the Beefcake episode seemed like he made a deal with Dark Side-he speaks for free on the Marty episode and they give him a forum to try and reason with Hulk to rebuild the friendship. I didn't realize they weren't buds at the induction time in 2019. But it was a pay day for Hulk. Seems like the issue is Missy, at least from Knobs and Valentine's perspective. She reasons that she took him away from the partying lifestyle and others didn't like it. Beefcake alludes to potentially jealousy of their loving marriage.

I don't know who I would trust among that lot, honestly. It's a tough one, isn't it? Valentine is probably the most honest. He's on record in a shoot that he dislikes Missy Leslie. He's honest in shoot interviews from many have reported. Interestingly enough, Missy Hyatt loves Missy L and her marriage to Ed and speaks very highly of Missy L. Knobs has been Hogan's best buddy for a while so he would take Hulk's side. Missy L. didn't seem to have a good first impression of him. Brian Blair seems to have some snarky commentary about Brutus but probably because he's a Hogan guy. I get a lot of people look down on Brutus because of the friendship with Hulk but I really never saw him as always getting the opportunities (at least most) because of Hulk. I also respect that he tried coming back to WWF so quickly after the accident. And wrestled any chance he was able. He didn't go out on some insurance policy claiming disability only to come back. An accident like that might mentally scar someone for life.

I continue to be furious about how Jim Cornette on DSOTR is a sweet, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable man and Jim Cornette on his podcast is a braying bigoted jackass

That's when your character as a human being is most tested.

But honestly, I actually think Cornette might be even worse, because I'm not sure he even *is* anywhere near as bigoted as he acts like he is, it's just that's how he farms engagement. Wrestlers are carnies, we shouldn't trust the majority of them as it is, but I think Corny possibly believes less of what he says than almost any other wrestling guy

He's always kinda been that way whenever someone was paying him THEY WERE A GENIUS AND EVERYTHING THEY DID WAS FANTASTIC! DID YOU KNOW THEY SHIT GOLD BRICKS?! the minute they stopped he'd go into how f***ing terrible they were and how stupid they were to not listen to all his ideas. When talking about like older wrestling he's usually much more positive about it and very knowledgeable... until he starts going off how you couldn't do that today or unlike today, and he basically ignores if you bring up he worked for Memphis which at times was basically even more a cartoon than the WWF in the Hogan Era. (That time is basically any time Lawler got the book)

I think he says stuff for attention/engagement because that seems to be how "it" works these days. You have to be outrageous or controversial to get the top level engagement.

Cornette’s version of events is that he came in to a Global Force show at the request of Jeff Jarrett, saw the Bucks in the dressing room, and without a handshake or anything said, “Hey, Bucks.” One of them responded, “Hey, Jim.” Jim said, “You know, we’ve got the only program in the business people actually believe.” In telling the story, he followed this with something like, “Yeah, people believe it because it’s f***ing true! I don’t have to pretend to hate them, they don’t have to pretend to hate me, that’s why people believe it! It was a joke that they were too stupid to get so they went around telling everyone, ‘Oh, Cornette thinks we’re working a program.’ No! We’re not working shit!” Now, in regards to him singing the praises of whoever he worked for only to blast them after, that’s 100% true and I’ve noticed that for a while. An apologist would say, “Well, what’s he supposed to do, say the show he’s working on is the shits?” I get that to a point, but past that point, most people just don’t really talk about what they’re working on if they don’t like it.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. I think he says stuff for attention/engagement because that seems to be how "it" works these days. You have to be outrageous or controversial to get the top level engagement. I knew he was playing a character in 2016/2017 when I saw him three times at autograph shows and because there's no camera on him he is quiet, calm. The audience there was there for autographs and photos, over the top commentary that would get video hits. As for the "worked" program the Bucks weren't in on, it reminds me of Jerry Lawler's book talking about Honkytonk Man talking crap about Jerry. When they got on a show together, Jerry asked why he was doing that. HTM told him he was trying to work the fans into wanting a program between the two.
