Wondering if Corny ever worked with Colt. Sure he got to know Chris Adams during the WCCW run.

Well, that was an informative episode to make sure we all know Harley was an abusive dick head.

Well, that was an informative episode to make sure we all know Harley was an abusive dick head. Yeah, he's lauded as a great tough guy and a great pro, but really my takeaway from this is that he was an alcoholic who chose wrestling over his family. I think the reverence for wrestlers who live and breathe the business is pretty problematic because the ones who allow it to consume them often take other people down with them.

That stinks. Sorry man, for all the niceness of the 'Quake episode and the mehness of the Beefcake episode, this one is definitely back to Dark Side. Still complementary of his abilities and work, but like so many of these old guys, his personal life was every bit of stereotypically abusive as you'd almost expect it to be of someone from that generation of old carny

Then they got to the part about his wife. That was sad. It's sadder his wife doesn't know if her son understands she did what she had to do. Wasn't it Bill Watts who also went to someone's house with a firearm? Do you remember that story?

I don't have any TV service, so I just end up watching the episodes when they finally get added to Hulu.
I hate hearing there's a truly dark part to the Harley episode. I was hoping it was going to be "listen to this crazy story" kind of things, not anything involving abuse. Especially since I got to spend a bit of time around Harley and he was always so gracious.
It may have been better if he had just focused on the business and not tried to be a family man in any way. I remember one year at Fanfest, Harley was mostly using a wheelchair and walking very slowly and carefully when he wasn't. In his Q&A that night, he was talking about all the time on the road, the injuries, etc., especially as it related to his time as NWA champion. He said, "You've all seen the way I get around here. I can barely move. But if I had it to do over, I wouldn't change a damn thing."

I liked the Tenta one just because it was nice to see one that wasn't about some carny conman. I actually watched that one a couple of days ago. I got a little choked up when his widow and his kids were interviewed. It was also good to see Jerry Sags and Fred Ottman being interviewed. Now I just need to watch the other recent episodes.

Also like everyone including the wife that he abused is making excuses for him... like she says "oh he had a good heart he just wasn't a family man" but... like listening to the other stories and no... he really sounds like a drunken asshole...

Man...that Harley Race episode. Jesus...
I shouldn't be too surprised that Harley Race is a POS but I didn't see that coming. The DUIs...the fights and the threat to kill people because they work for a rival promotion. Yeah...

watching the Beefcake episode it really just seems they mainly wanted to do the thing about Brutus's face exploding, and also kind've trying to get Hogan to talk to him again...
