WWE for the most part has had some pretty good PLE shows this year. I wasn't in the live thread for Summerslam but I did read people were a little underwhelmed for a big show.
With that said, what has been the WWE PLE of the Year so far to you in 2023?

Wrestlemania night 1 has arguably been WWE PPV of the year for 3 years straight.

Wrestlemania night 1 has arguably been WWE PPV of the year for 3 years straight. Even Wrestlemania 36 in the PC, I remember night 1 being better too. So 4 straight years it seems Night 1 owns Night 2.

BackLash and IMO it aint even close.
The rise of both IYO and Priest starts here and they put on absoloute bangers
The crowd IMO still has not been matched by any other PLE this year
The surprise cameos from Carlito and Savio Vega
Seth actually gets something out of Omos that ends up being passable if not even slightly above
And everything else was very good at worst.
The only actual match that ended up being a kind of nothing burger regardless of the crowd cheering her on was the Rhea Vs Zelina match.

Backlash. The Puerto Rico crowd made that night so much fun.

First show that came to mind when reading the title was Backlash.
I still think Bad Bunn's entrance is an all-time great WWE moment.

Backlash was great, but the last three actual matches puts WM Night 1 over the top.

I'm going to say Backlash. Skipped the six man tag so no real opinion on that but it was a really good show otherwise, even the Omos match was solid.

Backlash might be the best show of the last decade

Backlash might be the best show of the last decade Atmosphere wise I'd agree but I think in-ring lets it down a bit. Theory/Lashley/Reed is a 6 minute TV match. Seth/Omos and Rhea/Zelina were fine. Bloodline/KO/Sami/Riddle worked hard but the crowd was exhausted after Bad Bunny. Brock/Cody also suffered due to that and was a pretty short main event. Bunny/Priest and Bianca/IYO were really the only standout matches.

WWE has been on a strong run since Summerslam 2022, but Mania night 1 probably takes it

Backlash sort of felt like a 3rd night of Wrestlemania because of the crowd in PR. Even MITB was fantastic because of the crowd in London. I'm becoming more and more in favor of more "outside USA" PLEs because of the hot crowds (though because of the KSA deal, we probably won't see more than 1 or 2). As an American... I totally advocate a non-US Wrestlemania because the crowd will be insane. Back to the point, I pick Backlash as the overall show of the year so far.

I’m still trying to figure out why Bad Bunny didn’t main event Backlash. If the show ended after that match and the god pops for Sávio and Carlito it would have been perfect.
HHH stays smoking that shit.

Money In The Bank because I was there.
It's a shame the amazing ending was crapped on a month later.

It's Backlash and Money In the Bank tied for me.
Both had phenomenal crowds and they should go to London & Puerto Rico for more PPV/PLE's in the future.
