Kind of an underrated game is the early Xbox 360 RPG Lost Odyssey, directed by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and developed by a lot of staff that worked on the Shadow Hearts games. There's a scene fairly early in the game that got me to tear up pretty badly. There were a few of those stories that made me tear up. Suikoden 2 eventually did it for me. NIER Automata as well.

Telltale's The Walking Dead - The Final Season
The fake ending got me good.

The best ending for the best android in Detroit: Become Human brings some happy tears. I could see some of Kara’s endings causing either happy or sad tears if you actually felt connected to Kara, Luther, or Alice. I mainly found Kara’s normal playthroughs to be annoying and only enjoyed it when I had her be the main killer robot of the 3 mains (that’s right, you can play it so that the nanny-bot kills more people than the experimental android leader of the revolution and the prototype special agent bot combined….though you can have them both go on severe murder streaks).
After playing DBH, I bought a two-pack special of Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. I completed BTS and felt like crying, but in a “I paid money for this shit” kind of way. It is fun to watch the Bryan Dechart playthrough of the game with his wife (there’s a relatively unique two player mode and every time he got tagged in Bryan played like a delirious lunatic), but not so much playing it myself.

A certain moment in Gears of War 3 mad-world? as a self confessed broken person (very little film/game wise affects me emotionally.) but I did have to stop playing the last of us part 2 when it came out as it was less than three months after my dad died and some things in it were a bit too close to home for me at the time.

Death Stranding.
They didn't make me cry but FFIX's and X's endings get me down.

Several missions on GTA San Andreas made my teenage self cry.
The two that did it the most would have been the Farewell My Love race and the flight school. The flight school still annoys me now as you get the pilots license after doing the first 3 tests, I have no idea why they made you do the whole thing to progress the story.

The last choice you have to make in Life is Strange. I knew 20 minutes before what my choice had to be and it broke me. Man I wish I could replay that game not knowing anything about it again.

Sonic Adventure 2(still kinda tear up a little at the end even if the cutscenes and voice acting are pretty dated)
Ans not gonna lie, Super Smash Bros Melee. Not just because was an absolutely joy when I first played it on my cousin's GameCube, but I actually teared up when I first heard the music in the "Fountain of Dreams" stage because the song was THAT epic.
