so per WON, AEW informed the Elite of a legal letter from Punk's team saying the Bucks violated their agreement not to disparage Punk. The complaint was due to an old BTE bit about Nick Jackson losing an endorsement from before what happened. Also the Bucks were willing to work with Punk if he showed he could not cause issues for 6 months If he kept his head down and just worked Collision for six months with out any drama then he would have gotten that CMFTR vs Elite match he wanted so badly. And Punk Stans are acting as if this was so unreasonable.

I've spoken to a few huge Punk fans recently, and they acknowledge he is the problem, something they did not during the fight in 2022. I think it's a small vocal group that enjoys being contrarian rather than actually getting to what really caused Punk's downfall.

If he is willing to take a huge pay cut, he can go to Impact and win their World Title.
Then his legacy will be complete.

The Observer this week said if Punk never wrestles again it is because he has made the decision. He'll wind up somewhere else (or back in AEW) so Punk's legacy is far from complete.

Well, sure, but that comes with like ten million caveats. Impact or MLW or either of the Mexican companies would take Punk in a heartbeat. I think if he had a good run in any of those companies, and stayed out of trouble, WWE would probably take the flier on him. But that’s asking a LOT given the fact that he couldn’t even last 2 months in a company that was giving him his own nationally televised show and able to pay him 7 figures. As for an AEW return, never say never, but I don’t feel like that’ll happen any time soon. Years down the road? Maybe for a short-term “prove it” deal.

So did this supposed legal letter get sent before or after this supposed meeting? I don't buy that Punk was sending legal letters over BTE nonsense (that literally nobody even speculated was a dig at Punk) while also chasing meetings with the Elite to smooth things over. At least half of that has to be wrong.

His career isn't over. He has so many more new locker rooms to make enemies in!

At least half of that has to be wrong. I believe it 100%. Punk was trying to goad them into working with him by taking potshots a la “counterfeit bucks” and “peg warmer.” It would be on brand to send empty legal threats to try and bring them to the table.

Nothing in wrestling is outside of the realm of possibility, but I would be shocked if Punk turned up in either AEW or NJPW at any point within the next couple of years.

Punk would see impact and every other American promotion below him. I think a few appearences for aaa and/or noah are the only possible options left. They'd be fine with him coming in and winning on a ppv or two and might be prestigious enough for Punk.

He couldn't make it more then a few weeks without being an idiot.

In an alternate universe where FTR Bald stands up to Punk: “We had a good thing you stupid son of a b****, we had Collision, we had the Real World's Championship, we had everything we needed and it all ran like clockwork. You could have shut your mouth, wrestled, and made as much money as you needed, but you just had to blow it up, you and your pride and your ego”

I actually think the Bucks were being perfectly reasonable, in a "keep out of trouble and we'll see" kind of way. If Punk was serious about being a leader here, he could have just set out to make Collision the best weekly show under the AEW banner (which I thought it was and might still be), to the point where the Wednesday/Friday regulars might want to work the shows. Maybe that Punk/Elite program would even happen sooner because of it. Again, all this over JACK F**KING PERRY, of all people.

Ricky Starks doesn't want to wait 10 years Interestingly, Ricky's most recent stories now say that his Instagram was hacked and that has been deleted.

I haven't seen that mentioned on X/Twitter yet by any of the news outlets who are reporting what he said... There were other posts about the flowers as well. If it indeed was an obsessive fan/troll then woof this is crazy and the lengths people will go to regarding a fight that doesn't involve them at all are even crazier
