The Penguin from "Gotham" is my favorite incarnation of the character. Robin Lord Taylor was incredible in the role.

And I prefer Killer Croc as a big guy with a skin condition (who leans into it with little touches like sharpening his teeth). I like my Batman more or less real world with Mr Freeze being the most out there element. And more of a detective than some super genius who can make any plan or afford any outrageous tech.

So no Clayface or Lazarus Pits then for you. As for me, I kinda like Penguin as the club owner with criminal connections that for the right reasons can help the Bat family. |

It bugs me when Batman fans say they like him because he is “realistic” but then claim he can buy things most countries cant afford and defeat literal god lime beings if he can “plan ahead”. |

Batman is my favorite comic book character and even I hate that whole trope. To me the planning ahead thing works with his rogues gallery not with someone like Darkseid who can and should vaporize him with ease. Penguin on the other hand, I prefer him as a crime lord even though I love DeVito's version. |

Crook. Batman Returns' Penguin grossed me out tbh. I like the idea of Penguin being a refined gentleman mobster a lot more.
