He had that amazing match with Roman at Fastlane 2015. Say he won that match and got back to the top of the mountain again.
He faces a guy he never lost the belt to. And Lesnar puts him over clean in the main event, no Seth cash in. That can come at Summerslam 2015.
Then you transition over to Seth vs. Roman and have Roman have his coronation at Wrestlemania 32 against Seth.
This way, Seth gets his main event title defence. Roman gets his real coronation. Daniel Bryan has his redemption 2015 to make up for being hurt in 2014.

seth cashing in and the awesome sight of him swinging the belt saved that WM for me

No. Heist of the Century was one of my favorite Wrestlemania moments. Also, I will never forgive Daniel Bryan for that time he kicked out of the Cobra!

I wanted Daniel Bryan to main event every WrestleMania.

Absolutely, yes. Even with the benefit of hindsight of him effectively retiring a month later I still would prefer that over the miserable slog that was Seth's reign.

I respect DB, but I think Heist of the century > Bryan winning a second straight mania main event

I'd argue the heist of the century would have been even more effective has Seth cashed in on a Brock vs Bryan main event.
Have Reigns squash Big Show or a team of Big Show AND Kane on the main card to keep him looking strong.
Damien Mizdow wins the ATGMBR.

Heist of the century got cheered since Seth was more of a favorite than Roman. If he did it on Bryan it would have generated heat. Roman could then win the title at Survivor Series like he did and become the top guy there. I think instead of Roman vs Big Show though I would just have him win the IC title in place of Bryan

There’s a saying we use back in the old country… The path of least resistance. This would’ve been that for SO MANY PEOPLE. All you do is switch Bryan, Reigns and Cena around. Bryan into the world title match, Reigns into the US title match and Cena into the IC ladder match.

In retrospect, it turned out to be a good thing Bryan had to vacate the IC title instead of the WWE title yet again.
That said, it still didn't have to be Roman at least a year before he was ready to, stunting his momentum for years. They could have tried to sustain Ziggler's momentum from Survivor Series, and just him bump around for Brock for 20 minutes. Or maybe Lesnar doesn't sandbag Ambrose like he would do the next year, since he doesn't have a UFC match in the coming months to focus on.

Nah. Didn’t matter to me. Bryan already had the storybook ending and I was more interested in how Roman was going to handle himself as a top star. The company allegedly thinking Roman was more marketable wasn’t enough of a reason for me to resent the dude.

Can't really complain about the outcome of the main event with Rollins cashing in, but as far as Daniel Bryan goes, I would have given him something better to do than to go after a midcard title that was clearly beneath him at this point.

Reminds me that they had Bryan doing local house ads after his IC win saying WM31 was more meaningful than his title win at WM30.

Under normal circumstances I'd have loved a Brock/Bryan match but I think at the time with Bryan being out a year with career threatening concussion issues it would have been too big a risk to book him in a spot like that. What if he wins the Rumble (this is when there was only one world title so he'd have had to), is locked into a Mania main event then a couple weeks later he takes a bump and gets concussed again (which did end up happening immediately after Mania)? All the booking is messed up and now the person who is scrambled into the spot to face Brock looks second rate and only got the spot because of injury.
And Bryan had to be protected from himself sometimes too. He admitted to lying to doctors and even Brie about his symptoms. He wouldn't have held back at all. If this match happened at WM31 he'd probably try to top the Cena Summerslam match and have Brock suplex him on the back of his neck 40 times or something.
At least by the time Brock/Bryan did happen in 2018 Bryan had been back working a full schedule for almost a full year. There were too many question marks around his status in 14-15.

This would’ve turned the “heist of the century” into one of the most hated moments of the century….
Seth cashing in and pinning Roman just makes too much sense for that story…

Nah, I wanted him to win the IC title cause it was the only title he didn’t win yet.

I would've much rather they didn't make him come back for the rumble before he was fully healed just to shit on him and then book him in a f***ing ladder match. He should've just returned after Mania (and main event every Mania after it).

nah, i wouldn't change a thing about the WM 31 Ending at all. But Lesnar/Bryan should have happened earlier at some point, didn't have to be at Mania.
