Yeah I just looked like yesterday, last week was like 20 or 30k more people total but .40 in the Demo.

This made me imagine a 60 year old man who has seen every episode of RAW in its entirety since 1993. Stuck with it through the New Generation, the Montreal Screwjob, Austin's heel turn, the Benoit tragedies, the Authority, the Vince scandals, all of that and so much more. And then he saw these two short bald men wrestling and said to himself "I can't take it anymore" and finally turned off the show.

There were also 2 Monday night football games on at the same time. In prior years I don't recall there ever being a 7:15 and 8:15 game. I've seen 7:15 and 10:30 but never games being played that close in starting times.

MNF is absolutely a big detriment towards Raw's ratings. But having two games on at the same time didn't really affect this Raw all that much compared to the last week's. What they lost in 50+ they gained in 18-49 demo. So slightly less viewership this week, but the demo gains will make NBCU happier with the number.

What probably hurts more is that ABC has been showing MNF games at the same time as ESPN, whether that's a simulcast of the same game(last week) or different games (this week). Week 1 also had the Manningcast on ESPN2. And until the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes end, that's probably going to be the norm going forward this season.
