The CM Punk saga is, thankfully, over in AEW. The guy is absolutely exhausting to talk about.
If he shows up elsewhere? To quote that anonymous WWE executive when asked about Punk post-Brawl Out: "He's their problem now."

The only thing left I want to read is the non-political thoughts of Tony and top guys like Mox and Jericho and the like. They may never really say but hopefully years down the road they'll do shoots on it.

I think the mood at All Out has really carried on in most places. People were sick of the constant drama with the dude and were relieved and ready to move on. Yup, and the drama revolving around that had been non-stop for the past year. Heck, I was sick of it by year's end last year because it was all over the place and not just on FAN. It was the talk of the wrestling world. The fact we can now move on from that saga and go back to focusing more on AEW in general is a huge relief. It's also nice to see AEW gradually recovering from the fallout and going back to having good shows again. It feels like a return to what it used to be.

It was a guilty pleasure to see the pretzels people would twist themselves into to defend him, but beyond that, there's nothing left to squeeze out of the subject. And it's beyond telling that the guy that wasn't afraid to take WWE to court has gone quiet. That should confirm how over this is.

Dude even lost his hometown (can confirm, was there). Let's just move on and enjoy AEW.

Most wrestling fans have moved on but the hardcore punk fans will absolutely not let it go. Any chance in a group they will decide to redirect a conversation to cm punk if the chance appears.

Punk is gone and the product is in a much better place, both onscreen and offscreen.

There were down periods during the controversy too when nobody was saying or doing anything. Unless someone starts opening up about shit there's just nothing else to discuss and no place to even go anymore. I think it's going to float around for a long time to come, people wil ldiscuss it, and it will slide into hindsight and myth, but the days of ongoing news discussion kind of fall apart when there's no news.

Not sure about Punk but strangely enough it helped people forget about Cash's crap completely

I think it'll still be a little while until Collision and his cronies loses the Punk stench. Ftr might never lose it but I think Danielson can rehab the rest, he's got Starkz a long way towards helping us forget that he was recently interested in winning a pretend title.

I think now that Punk has nothing to gain from manipulating people around AEW he might actually go silent.
Call me optimist.

I hope so. Things seem to be better and smoother now that the Muffin Man is gone.

I don't know how telling it is that we've yet to have an "explosive statement" from Punk about the situation. Maybe he's finally grown up?
