I'd actually love if it was Baker
It'd be nice to see some AEW girls involved in a world title storyline and be a sort of ringleader to a faction. It'd also give Baker something new to do which she's needed.

Man so many good options.
Ricky Starks could be throwing himself into the mix.
Nana and crew staking claim to the next shot for Swerve.
Maria and the Kingdom to get MJF softened up for someone.
Britt and some crew causing hell for MJF until Cole returns.
BCG doing it to jump Jay White into title contention.
Edge getting revenge for the 2013 Denver Broncos.
MJF waking up from a coma and revealing this has been his cousin FJM (to now be played by Colt Cabana) palling around with Cole and pretending to be AEW World Champion, returning to tell us all "Daddy's home!"
BCC taking out the BCG for funnsies.
But the one I'm going with...
Wardlow got bored and his limbs separated from his torso and the 5 of them are after MJF for ruining his (their?) Life.

Surprised to see no votes for "Someone from ROH" (AKA a call-up). Shows that AEW doesn't really have much of a track record of calling up brand-new people and making them a huge deal.
Which tells me that a Nexus-type storyline elevating a new main eventer we've never heard of (or barely know of) would actually be the most surprising outcome.

AEW hasn't really called anyone up from ROH |

I guess Matt Riddle is now a possibility too. However given how hard the entire internet turned on him after WWE released him, I expect AEW would get dumped on if they brought him in. Which is a shame because I think he's got a lot of talent and a lot more in the tank if he can keep his nose clean. So the same boat as Jeff Hardy and (for different reasons) CM Punk. I guess that could turn out to be a big "if" but yeah.
