Hopefully the crutches and boot is just Cole hamming it up a bit and he's not that badly hurt still. Coz it is mad if he's still on crutches 5 months later, all from just jumping about 3 feet of a stage I don't think he is hamming it up. Few things I've read said rehab's going slow for him, and they're not sure he'll even be ready to wrestle by Revolution. You fall just right, especially after so many years of wear and tear from wrestling, and even the simplest fall can really do some shit to ya. When i did some research on it prior, I read an ankle broken in three places like his reportedly was could take upwards of a year to recover from, especially for something like wrestling. Things just vary.

Well the good news is that Cole can stay effective on the mic with the other four working matches (although aside from Roddy I wouldn't look forward to those bouts), and if MJF decides to have surgery, they can hold on their eventual meeting until both are 100%. Maybe at a fitting event like All In.

Things just vary. It's probably not the actual break that's even the main issue, the ligaments etc around the ankle can cause real issues if they're damaged. I went over on my ankle a couple of years ago and thought I'd broken it, turned out it was 'just' ligament damage. Foot went black etc and I was properly hobbling and strapped up for weeks. Long story short it took the best part of two years before it was totally fine again and it's only recently that I've not suffered pain if I've walked a long way etc.

Hope MJF does get the surgery and takes some time off. There's plenty for the devil group to keep themselves occupied while Cole and MJF heal up. The Gunn Club, the Acclaimed, Hangman all have big grievances with them

Given Wardlow's snicker when Cole said he'd turn the title over once Cole is healed... well, that kinda made Cole look like a bit of a moron, but it is an interesting possibility. All of that said I think most of the fans want Swerve vs Joe to be the next big feud and if Wardlow is going after the title it's pretty disruptive to the natural progression we've got right now into a Swerve title shot.

It'd be nice if Joe could get 3 or 4 successful defenses in before dropping it, but I don't know if the fans will be that patient (depending on how often Joe's defenses would be).

I have no problem waiting until december for Swerve to win the title if it's in the interest of making Samoa Joe an even bigger badass.

I am willing for there to be a few months before it, since I don't think Swerve should so much as sniff a title match unless he's winning it. Cole, I guess can get away with that since we're probably to assume he's just telling himself he'll cross that bridge with Wardlow when he gets to it, so he'll tolerate Wardlow's sass for the moment.
