I honestly wouldn't mind Jack. Would he be the top of my list? No, but the two have had a number of interactions for AEW's duration, just with alignments reversed. It'd make sense.

I think this week’s development makes it pretty obvious. Let’s look at history. Mysterious masked wrestler appears and threatens the current champ. Creative can’t really decide on who it should be but needs a payoff. Enter Ric Flair. As with the black scorpion was n the past, the devil will be Ric Flair.

I joke about this but in Tony’s fantasy booking as a child he ran this angle.

I almost want it to be CM Punk, which AEW would have pulled the biggest swerve in history. I know it won't be but just think what that would been like. Honestly Cole would be my choice. Someone else just wouldn't fit as much. More so a WWE released guy or someone who hasn't been involved. I would been kind of let down if it was Jack Perry.

It would make sense that Adam Cole is the Devil masked man for all the reasons stated. It would also make sense if the masked man Adam Cole sent in his goons into Saturday’s match to make sure Kenny Omega does not win the title.

With Adam Cole being the masked-man-devil you have near term storyline of Cole preserving MJF’s title reign until Cole himself can win it back and you also have the long term storyline of Adam Cole vs Kenny Omega which has never really happened.

I'm not convinced it isn't Punk.

Jack Perry wanted a vacation. His new heel character was the kind of guy who'd be douchey to veterans. Punk was supposed to segue into a feud with MJF next, while playing a somewhat anti-AEW character. Their fight and subsequent suspension/termination play directly into both those things in a weird way, as does Khan's "I feared for my life" statement which we still don't know what he was actually referring to besides a closed-door meeting he had with Punk that no one else was around for.

Maybe they took real life and figured out how to blend it with the storyline so that people can't tell where one ends and the other begins.

Masked Devil coming back to get revenge on Khan and also destroy MJF makes total sense in current context if it's Punk. He can't show his face because he's fired, so he's going to play mind games with MJF until he goads MJF into a match.

His whole feud with MJF revolved around "the greatest trick the devil pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist".

Cole also makes perfect sense as the antagonist so it could be either of them. And I like MJF/Cole as a good guy duo so much that I would really like it if it wasn't him.

I get where your going...I think some of us are genuine in our disdain though...I myself stated anyone but Jungle Boy because I have personally been vocal for a few years here now about my overall "meh" for him and his character.

Not sure I will ever stop calling him Jungle Boy no matter what he does just out of habit but yeah I enjoyed the pairing with Luchasaurus as a novelty act but just haven't been impressed with really anything as a singles star.
