He drew the highest numbers and demo of the night in a show up against baseball and Turner's botched listings. I'd say we still know him. I say lighten up Francis

Are we sure the audio thing was even a TBS issue?
Granted I've never worked in television but if AEW are producing their own show how would TBS accidentally just feed the crowd audio and not the backstage promos? That would be done in house with their own production trucks surely?

That's a shame all of the technical shenanigans happened on the post PPV show and the Dynamite debut of Adam C.

That would be done in house with their own production trucks surely? When AEW has had problems before with audio (such as the sound being odd for the first few moments of backstage segments) that was also bad on Fite because it comes directly from AEW. But the sound was 100% fine on Fite for this episode so yes, it was on TBS's end. Same with the robot Christian promo last week, that was fine on Fite as well so the problem wasn't with AEW broadcasting it, it was with TBS as only TBS had the problem.

Shit is wild lol. Their rating last year was over a million too. Different circumstances happen to make a rating different. Playoff Baseball, a listing glitch, audio issues from Turner, all amounted to a lower first hour than the second one Also should just mention every single year it feels like cable numbers go down unless you're very lucky, are Football, or in WWE's case, stop having a crazy old man book your show (And even they just had one of the lowest viewed RAW's ever like two weeks ago).

Funny, I was watching on TSN and I got the audio glitched Cole/Strong promo. (Maybe it was because I was watching on my cable box and they were using the TBS feed, whereas people who watched on the app/online were watching the Fite feed. I don't know.)

If I'm Turner and I know full well that I'm a year away from potentially having AEW snagged away from my company (because there will be bidders and anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves), I'd make sure this stuff is ironed out as much as humanly possible, both the audio and DVR issues. Especially if you're going to hype DVR numbers in your press releases after shows do well, there's zero reason in 2023 why there were problems like that unless, as HMark said, layoffs are really affecting things. Like, if I were AEW, I'd be annoyed that it happened this week when they were trying to promote a show on a different day to at least make most of the viewership aware.
The most impressive thing about it, demo and viewership wise, was that when people realized Dynamite was actually on the air, the audience climbed for the rest of the show which is a real rarity TV wise.

Yeah, this is what shows me that it was probably an anomaly due to some combination of the channel listing issue, the audio issues, and/or the baseball playoff competition issues.

I actually think given the issues with DVR etc, that rating isn't bad at all. They've been not far off that on normal nights with no issues

And it's not a terrible number overall but considering these DVR/schedule issues were an all day accordance and people weren't exactly able to change stuff right away, it could have been a lot worse.
