Bam Bam Bigelow perhaps? Had a lot of really good matches in various promotions but I can’t think of one I’d call a classic. Bam Bam vs. RVD for the ECW TV title was a classic match, even if he lost.

What is a "classic" match? Are we talking work rate, or memorability? Like, one of my favorite matches is a 4-way tag team match involving Austin, Undertaker, Mankind, Kane, Rock, D'Lo Brown and The New Age Outlaws. I would put it in my time capsule of the Attitude Era, for example. But it's not what I would call a great wrestling match. But I find it to be one of the defining matches of the summer of 1998.
I think TLC 4 (the 4-way on Raw) was awesome. Again, not what many would consider a classic, but I remember it and enjoy rewatching it.
Basically, a classic depends on who you are and how you measure great wrestling.

Ted Dibiase did spring to mind, but I have never watched his mid south stuff and will look out the Duggan match referenced.
Jake Roberts is another that occurred to me, with his best wwe matches probably against Dibiase (ironically). It think had the WM6 match had the proper pay off of Jake winning with a DDT I would be saying neither of them in this thread.
As has been said, if “classic” means a match that is often spoken about as a great match, then there are a lot of names could be thrown out here despite regularly having bangers. Dean Malenko has been mentioned, but he was having great matches on a weekly basis with the likes of Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon and Psicosis on WCW. If he had a best of DVD, every match would be must viewing, but maybe fall into the “forgotten gems” category.

Eddie and Dean's last match in ECW has literally been referred to as "the Guerrero/Malenko Classic" for nearly 30 years now.

Booker T was the first person I thought of when I saw the thread title. I never saw any of his WCW stuff after April 1998, which is when I gave up on WCW. I know he was main eventing ppv's at the time, but unfortunately for Booker it was during the dog shit worst era of WCW. So I doubt anything there would be considered a classic.
His WHC run in WWE was great and memorable because of his King persona, but didn't produce any classic matches. A couple of duds with Batista and a couple of multiple man matches that I barely remember.
I'd say that 2001 SD match vs Kurt has to be Booker's best. I watched that match with a few friends that ranged from non fans to casual at best and every one of them were into it until the end. Which IMO is the sign of a truly great match.

you're joking right? The Christian/Orton Matches in 2011 were insanly good. They basically had classics at 4 PPV's back to back. Eh, good matches, yes, but are they classics? Maybe we just can agree to disagree? i think so yes. Can't remember if it was the one at Over the Limit or Summerslam? But they had one crazy good Match that would count as a classic i feel like.

Throwing names out there...does Christian have any classic singles matches? Maybe something from TNA? Vs. Del Rio at SummerSlam 2013 would be considered an all-time great match if it wasn't immediately before Punk/Lesnar and Cena/Bryan

If we're talking greatest wrestlers, if we treat that as longevity and booking,I'd say it's The Miz. Sure, he's been in the ring with guys who can make him look good, but there's not a single match that really stands out either from the story or the match itself.

The only one I can think of was that feud over the I-C title with Dolph.
