Remember when we were all excited at the prospect of Billy Pumpkins buying Impact from Dixie? I think that was mostly due to Dixie being kicked upstairs, in retrospect there were good reasons to be concerned, it was well known that Billy was a control freak. It's hard to call Smashing Pumpkins an actual band, or at least it was, when Billy wrote almost all the music, played almost everything on the first few records except for the Drums and had control over everything, and was a notorious workaholic too - dude played almost all the guitar on Siamese Dream, and there is a LOT of guitar on that record. He also had an abrasive personality and was pretty thin skinned. There was also the likelyhood that buying Impact wasn't something that Corgan would have done if the Smashing Pumpkins could fill out stadiums as the Foo Fighters and the Red Hot Chili Peppers could. Dude wanted to be the biggest Rock Star of his era, and that he isn't eats at him.

As a kid in the 90s, I thought Billy Corgan was creepy due to his bald head and clean shaven face... I was known to mix up Billy and Moby depending on if Moby had signature glasses on or not |

Meltzer wouldn't make his top champ Tyrus for nearly a year (or any length of time). So that'd already be a big improvement over Corgan.

I have never played a Mario game I didn't enjoy but I've also never played Sunshine, NSMB 2 or any Mario Party game.

3D Mario in general is just kind of a surreal experience to play. Like, I'm playing Odyssey, and I HATE it. Like, Mario has ten kabillion different kinds of jumps he can do, exactly one of which I ever want him to actually perform, and he can face sixteen different directions, sixteen of which are incorrect for getting him to correctly make it over the gap I'm trying to cross. Like, wall-jumping requires a very specific physical stage layout which occurs like three times in the entire game, and meanwhile I'm here accidentally wall-jumping to my death all over the place. And I absolutely DO NOT CARE about collecting all these things I have to collect. I hate this, I hate every second of it.
But like, I'm also having a huge blast? Somehow? It doesn't make any sense.
