Purdue’s gone ice cold at the wrong time. Glad they recovered!

For only the 7th time in NCAA Men's tournament history, a double-digit seed has made the Final 4. Now NC State has the chance to be the only bottom-half seed to ever make the title game.

For only the 7th time in NCAA Men's tournament history, a double-digit seed has made the Final 4. Now NC State has the chance to be the only bottom-half seed to ever make the title game. This NC State team is considerably more of an underdog story than the Jim Valvano-led 1983 national champions of "Survive and Advance" fame. That team was a 4-seed in the ACC Tournament and a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament and had entered the 1982-83 season ranked 16th in the nation. This year's squad was never ranked nationally, lost seven of their final nine, and entered the ACC Tournament as a 10-seed. The Wolfpack have made it to this point because every single game since the first round of the ACC Tournament was a must-win situation, and they've won every single one of them. Were they a mid-major instead of an ACC team, it would be a much bigger story nationally.

LSU v Iowa has such a big match feel to it. I love it It might be the most anticipated college basketball game of the past 20 years. That sounds like hyperbole. But with Caitlin Clark and Angel Reece and everything that surrounds Kim Mulkey, this is a HUGE game. I hope it’s a good one.

If UConn beats USC, holy shit, the ratings for Iowa vs UConn is gonna break all the Women's basketball game records. Caitlin vs Paige and the Women's program.

It's gonna be the 99 Women's World Cup all over again. A women's event that is covered like a big men's event. Another step in the right direction.

Think about the stories that would happen if UConn beats USC. Paige looking to get her first title, and get UConn back to the very top. Caitlin looking to also get her title, cement her legacy, and in the process taking down UConn in the Final Four. ESPN is hoping for that matchup.

What a game LSU vs. Iowa was. I've loved the majority of the women's tournament this year.
I'm pulling for Paige/Caitlin in the Final Four but freshman phenom Juju against Caitlin is also a great story.

I think I heard it said on the radio that it was also the most watched college basketball game ever, regardless of gender, on ESPN. It got the same rating as a highly watched episode of MNF, which is pretty crazy. Don't usually see anything that isn't NFL or CFB football do that well.

You are correct; last night was the most watched college basketball game EVER on ESPN, both men's and women's. Is either men's Final Four game this weekend gonna get the kind of rating that LSU/Iowa got? I don't think either game will come close to be honest.

What the f*** is Iowa vs UConn gonna get Friday night? You know that game is passing this rating.
