Pearce said "let the games begin" on Smackdown
He should have channelled Craig Charles and said "let the waaaaaaaars begin"

Woopie, the one time of the year where they pretend to care about what brand they are on. I can't contain myself I may just throw up in excitement.

Bloodline and Judgment Day vs. faces is the best option. Intermingling storylines. That is exactly what they could and should do. Bloodline Judgement (5 from Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jimmmy Uso, Finn Balor, Damien Priest, Dominik Mysterio) take on the Superfriends (Five from Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Jey Uso, Randy Orton, John Cena, Sami Zayn).

Still surreal to see two NWA champions being the face of this feud. Hunter absolutely loves the NWA man.

It’s an easy match that would help bring many things to a head (the endless Judgment Day vs. Raw faces feud, JD’s dissent blowing up, the Bloodline barely holding it together, etc.) and bring the story of Cody vs. Roman II into its final chapter (we hope).

If they want to do the brand Warfare thing, they should attach the draft to Survivor Series. The winners of the matches get draft picks for the brands.
Another thing I always thought they should introduce was to establish that the winners of matches get a bigger cut of the fight purse (and champions even more). It's not even something that needs to be hammered in frequently, but just throwing that out there would give the wrestlers a reason to care about winning and losing. So while the wrestler may not care about brand supremacy, you know they care about winning matches.
I think Wrestling as a whole lost a lot when they moved the presentation from being a sport to being a TV show about a sport. When you assume everyone there is a competitive athlete that wants to be the best at their sport, it does a lot of the heavy lifting in the stories. It explains the existence of managers. The wrestlers are in business for themselves and want to be the best; instead of being presented as employees of Vince there to perform at managements whim with no sense of any rules or logic.
It's like when they have contract signings for matches? I always think why does this match need a contract? Pearce goes out there and makes title matches on the fly all the time. Why are they starting shows without a card planned? You could still do all the silliness we enjoy while the wrestlers themselves have the appearance of more agency in their careers. Stuff like having to have a "manager's license" to be allowed at ringside really added some world building to the WWE. Like establish the rules of the WWE Universe and tell the story within those rules. I always appreciate when they adhere to continuity. Kevin Owens is one that really does that well.
That was a ramble...anyhow, in conclusion, Survivor Series brand warfare is lame unless some changes are made to the presentation.

Hopefully it's a harmless survivor series match and not wargames

And for the first time in what feels like years, WWE has four or five white hot babyfaces who the crowd is really into and two heel stables that are also hot. Not doing a War Games match pitching the faces against the heels would be such a waste.

No!!!! No more Brand Warfare! No WarGames! JUST NO!!!!
Just give me Judgment Day/Bloodline VS a bunch of faces in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match.
They can also do Rock VS Roman to get that out of the way.

They're really still doing the Raw vs. Smackdown stuff? This is made dumber by the feeling that there’s a ton of people it seems are on both shows plus NXT a lot of the time anyway. Would anybody be against it if it was NXT vs. Raw vs. Smackdown at War Games? Like how they did WCW vs. NWO vs. NWO Wolfpac? Eh, at least in that case there were genuine feuds between the factions going on; having a War Games match should be about groups that hate one another and need to settle their differences with something guaranteed to bring bloodshed. I haven't watched all of WWE's/NXT's War Games matches over the years, but of the stuff I've seen they've often come off like chances for wrestlers to wow the crowd with dramatic spots off the cages/with weapons and, if this storyline goes through, to do a cold "brand warfare" thing instead of getting across that the wrestlers involved in the match genuinely want to hurt one another due to the feuds they're involved in. If there's no real anger behind the feud, just do a traditional Survivor Series match, and if it must involve the "brand war" stuff then just attach some stakes to said Survivor Series match; save War Games for feuds that call for it.

I kind of appreciate them going ahead and setting this up since it pretty much means I can just go ahead and cancel Peacock until the Rumble because I'm not going to be missing anything.

having a War Games match should be about groups that hate one another and need to settle their differences with something guaranteed to bring bloodshed. Right now you have Jey Uso having real beef with Jimmmy, LA Knight gearing up for a crack at Roman, Cody wanting to finish the story, Cena wanting to show that he still has what it takes, and if he is ready to go, you have Orton wanting to get revenge on the Bloodline for putting him on the shelf for over a year. There is also a lot of tension within both of the heel factions. At this stage, a War Games match is justified by the story.

Team Aldis vs. Team Pearce sounds like the main event of a poorly attended NWA show. So, an NWA show.

Jiminy f***, you’d think this company was putting a gun to your head by even teasing this. Goddamn. You guys can never just say “I don’t want to see this”, it’s always THE MOST HORRIBLE THING TO EVER EXIST AND IT CAUSES ME ACTUAL PAIN THAT THEY EVEN HINTED AT IT. I understand in that it's an obnoxious crutch WWE has relied on for nearly 20 years, off-and-on, but I think it would be perfectly fine if there were actual stakes. Thing is, it really has never been acknowledged why the wrestlers should give a shit. If they did something like, "Also, the winning team each have guaranteed shots at the various titles, to be decided on by the winning GM", that'd be something. Even give some storyline hooks for "the GM screwed me by giving the other guy the world title shot", or two of the guys being paired for a tag title shot, etc. Instead, it's, "we wear blue and red t-shirts for a month because reasons." even talk about the winner's purse again would be something.

If they do a woman's match with a Raw vs Smackdown slant, there's another chance to bring Mickie back.
Either for her husband, or a surprise against him pick

I will always say if they do Raw VS Smackdown, it should be for Royal Rumble spots. The winning brand wrestles in a match to determine the #30 entrant & the losing brand wrestles in a match to determine the #1 entrant.
