Considering that Sasha Banks Vs Bianca Belair main eventing a wrestlemania was the big headline coming out of that event by WWE and many news outlet, and it being from Night 1. It most certainly counts as main eventing a Wrestlemania Disagree; a main event is the match that’s meant to sell the card, not something that’s treated as such after the fact. I’d count it if it went like NJPW’s two night Wrestle Kingdoms went; in both of those, they had four guys in two matches to finish night one to determine the Intercontinental and Heavyweight champs, and then the winners would meet on night two to decide the ultimate champion who’d hold both titles. In that case, main eventing night one would count, since the night two main event wouldn’t be official until those matches were done. agree to disagree I guess

Especially now, your biggest match is the main event and it generally goes on last. WrestleMania is now a week long show, the match that goes on last is the main event. You can dress it up with "you wrestled Taker, that's a main event, he's a Legend" and you gotta buy two tickets because it's two nights and women main evented one of nights so that's really the main event too. Main event goes on last now, period and it's your hottest match.

They're two entirely separate shows with two entirely separate houses that require two entirely separate tickets to get. Both night main events are equal. Nah, I disagree on that; two tickets, sure, but it's really one event, and night two is the climax, the last image they want you to see. Which is funny because pretty much universally Night 1 has been the superior show... .

I do think Night 2's main event is a bigger deal, but not by leaps and bounds exactly, like Night 1 has been treated as a big deal and is still certainly considered main eventing. Bianca vs Sasha Banks, the Usos vs Sami/Owens, etc, were treated with a good deal of respect.

It's a joke that only highlights how much Roman won't lose anything
They even backed off of Seth's "FIGHTING CHAMP" shtick really quickly, and Rhea this week even said Seth's title isn't anything compared to Roman's
Like they've been terrible at making this belt feel like it matters, so far it's just been another belt Nakamura's failed to win.

Thing A can be more important than Thing B and Thing B is still important, you know? We always fall into this idea that unless you're fighting THE top guy with THE top belt in THE main event, everything else is literally useless disposable shit, and it's complete self-sabotage as a fanbase to ask them to treat everything as important but give impossibly limited parameters within which to do so.

i don't think they've pretended like it is and fans don't really see it that way either
if anything the intercontinental title is the 2nd most important title in the company, which it always should be but it now is in a.. round about way

I agree that the IC belt feels like a bigger deal than the WHC. It's as much about how well Gunther's reign has been booked as it is about how much the new WHC feels like a "Not Roman Reigns" consolation prize.

I want Wrestlemania as a one-night event again, with the biggest match on last.
Cut down the match length - not every match has to be a 20-minute Broadway with 10-minute entrances. If you want everybody to get a payday, throw on a huge battle royal, pair up bunches of your talents in tag teams, do what you need to do to keep the final runtime down to where it feels big, but not the Bataan death march.
It's not that difficult, really. The last match of any event is the main event. You can package any others all you want, but the perception remains that the last impression is the one that lasts.

I'll say this, at the end of the day it doesn't matter what we think it's what the company thinks since it's a WWE show and they make the rules. If a list of main eventers is ever made for WrestleMania by WWE anyone who has main evented a night one will be on level with night two. They won't put a * by the name of people who only did a night one main event.

Always have seen it when it debuted that Seth is just walking around with a consolation prize and like others have said the IC title feels much more important.
