Ronda is gone from the WWE, what did you think of her run?

So what did you think of her WWE career?

I'll say it: she's lucky that first leg was filled with choreographed "paint by numbers" wrestling because without it, she'd look like she looked in her latter half. She was a big name but she wasn't it. Overhyped, like I'm sure some other wrestlers would get the same if they had that same treatment.

Have never ever been as EXCITED about a feud as Liv vs. Rousey, will remember the saga forever. So glad Liv got the final pinfall over Rousey at MITB '23, too.

The match vs. Alexa at SummerSlam '18 was great too!

Who could forget the kick Charlotte gave to Rousey (while inside the car) ~ ! 😂

That's the best stuff. Shame she never went 1 on 1 with Becky.

I did not like how she was booked to win the Royal Rumble after a three-year absence. Okay, hear me out. If she had returned at the start of 2022 or at the very least, the end of 2021, there could have been some hype for her return and maybe work a storyline prior to Royal Rumble and it could have led to her winning. But no, the return was announced on Twitter and she just returned and was already slated to win like that. She had not been seen or heard from in three years prior to it.

Had its moments but for the most part had little desire to have her around and very much doubt I'll ever miss her.

Her arm drag/judo throw thing was legit my all time favorite move by a wrestler. She made that damn thing look so brutal.

Polarizing.

In-ring? Some of my favorite women's matches with Sasha, Charlotte and Liv. The Nia Jax ones are some of the most brutal and best looking fights for two workers who weren't experienced. Even her misses could be engaging. Her promos, while a mess, were endearing at best and hilarious at worst.

Out of the ring? Her views on COVID, trans issues and Sandy Hook (which I honestly didn't know of before it was brought up here) killed a lot of goodwill and made it hard to miss her or care on the 2nd run.

It didn't help that she took a lot of the criticism and hate from fans so personally - which doesn't excuse the vitriol she got during Becky's rise. Unfortunately, it comes with the territory of being a star and she should have handled it better. She's been open about her mental struggles and wanting to be accepted. I feel if she embraced more of her quirky/nerdy traits in her character she would feel more comfortable on a big stage. I was thinking she would do so before the heel turn. Even so, she had more fans than detractors will admit.

She's always been a fan but I NEVER thought she'd wrestle on an indie. I hope the different environment humbles her and opens her mind.

The first year was a lot of fun. Everything after that was mid to bad.

Ronda Rousey's run was up and down, with a couple highs, some lows, some shit that's
already been forgotten and some other shit that probably won't be remembered a little ways down the road. I agree with whoever said she was more popular than many people wanted to admit.

The high points to me were the lead up to the Mania main event, her match with Sasha Banks, her reaction to Liv Morgan coming to the ring to cash in MITB and the subsequent. As someone else mentioned, her arm throw looked brutal.

The lows were pretty much everything else I can remember.

All in all, she had some moments but I'm not going to be sitting around hoping for a return.

Was not a fan...until she did that video where she plays the saxophone. Loved that saxophone video. Made me like her a little bit.

Her first ever appearance at Wrestlemania. I was a bit salty. Earlier in the night, HHH defeated Sting, and made Sting look like a complete goober. Then he gets easily beaten up by Ronda. So my thought was he can job for Ronda but not Sting? That's unfair to blame that on Ronda, but it was a thing she was involved in and I didn't like it!

Her second WWE appearance. She steals the spotlight from my favorite wrestler, Asuka. I absolutely HATED this! There were 3 people in the ring when Ronda came out. Auska, the winner. Alexa and Charlotte, the champs. If Ronda was there to set up a match with one of those three, I would have been perfectly fine with her debut after the Rumble. But her first match was against Stephanie and HHH. If that was the plan, they should have had Stephanie in that ring, or better yet, let the Rumble winner have a proper moment and save Ronda for the next night on RAW.

Asuka wins her first ever main roster title...thanks to interference from Ronda. So Asuka is the 4th wheel in her own crowing moment. Asuka and Ronda never had a match. Wasted opportunity given this built in back story.

Wrestlemainia main event. Ronda vs Becky should have been the match. They shoehorned Charlotte in there. The build was a mess. The first ever women's main event cooled off considerably. I really wanted a girls main event, but Kofi Kingston's story became superior in the moment. Kofimania should have main evented that Wrestlemania. I will die on that hill! We have hindsight of that woman's triple threat being a not very good match with an AWFUL finish. Even without the botched count, the finish was so anticlimactic becasue, "no one would believe Ronda will tap"...Yeah, even if the match was a 5-star classic, if the planned finish of your Wrestlemania main event is a surprise roll up, then you need to rethink your main event... Kofimania should have closed out that show. I will die on that hill!

I hated how OP Ronda was during her run. I generally hate outsiders being better at wrestling than wrestlers. Ronda has a UFC background which is close enough that she can be portrayed as on-par with WWE superstars, but when you make her head and shoulders stronger it makes wrestling look bad. I'm a wrestling fan, I want my choice of entertainment to be presented as the strongest and best there is! I hated how her armbar was an "insta-tap" No struggle, no drama. Amrbar, instant tap out. I generally hate when anyone is too OP. You can have a champ that consistently wins without being a superman. I hate Bianca, Rhea, Charlotte being OP too. But, you know what, Ronda was better than all three of those at selling! I'll give credit where it is due.

Ronda had some good matches (and some stinkers). There were many times it was obvious she didn't want to be there. Overall, I think she was a wasted opportunity.

She could have been really good but whilst she ‘got’ the wrestling side of things, she absolutely sucked at promos. Like there was no charisma and she was visibly flustered at times. It was just bad and it really hurt her in the end

She already wrestled an indie match a few days ago, impromptu teaming with Marina Shafir.

As to her run, I thought she was fantastic in her role and she felt special for most of her time in the company. Definitely underrated by the majority of fans.
