Typical Flair move. Take something that is supposed to be for Sting and try to shoehorn your way in there. I know Flair likes to constantly bring up that he "made" Sting, as if Sting owes him one, but Sting's trajectory for success was already there and his career is more invaluable than just throwing Flair in there just for the nostalgia.
That's hilarious. Gotta sell the reaction of two senior citizens beating each other up. You know something is never a good idea when you explain how the crowd is going to react. I know that is a tactic older than dirt, but it's one that always makes me chuckle.
Again the goal for Ric here was "How can this benefit me?" He's the ultimate sleaze. Just desperate for attention.

If they were to do it, Flair should have turned mid-match and Sting should have taken him out easily. It's not important enough to be the match ender.

To be fair (to Flair), Ric has always been pretty generous with his opponents and Sting is his friend so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he had good intentions here

We don't do that around Here! It amuses me how low the bar of expectation is for Flair that we're almost shocked he didn't go on an angry rant about Tony Khan firing him

Considering how Ric Flair treated Teddy Long back in the day, I think it's safe to assume that Ric considers Mark Henry to be "one of the good ones" or something. He's racist, too? Oof.

Hell having it be Sting finally learning not to trust Flair would have been a perfect thing for his last match. Like when Flair was doing his final WWE run he did a top rope chop and teh crowd errupted for itbecause he finally did the move off the top.

Don’t think it was ever reported that it was all Sting’s idea. In fact, going by the Observer article when he signed it was a 2-year deal so well beyond what Sting’s run would entail: Think it’s just another performer Khan had a blind spot for (like Punk). I mean Tony Khan's message board name WAS Tony Flair (or something like that) The best known one he used is Coach Tony or Coach Tony K. Stilling waiting on that best of sabu on the indies tape Coach Tony.....
