I didn't know where to put this and settled here. It can be moved to (W)rest if necessary. I didn't see it posted either so excuse me if there is already discussion regarding these numbers.
I would love to see some of Vince's recent comparative numbers.
Wasn't aware that Impact/TNA ran as many Mixed matches as they do.

Yep, that’s about right. The fact that AEW PPVs is the lowest is inexcusable

TK deserves a lot of blame for his lack of care for the women’s division but I also don’t think people talk about how stacked WWE and NXT in particular are when it comes to the women’s roster. There’s like 10 women in NXT that I could see as great champions, they’ve got riches over there.
Then again is that because of them being given the proper tv time? To a point it has to be a part of it.

WWE's PPV should be a bit higher because I'm still angry at Becky/Trish not being on Summerslam. The biggest star of this generation v the biggest of the attitude/ruthless aggression era. Probably the closest to a female equivalent to a Rock/Cena and you know that wouldn't have been held off a major PPV to do on Payback instead. Impact's reputation as the US promotion that features their women's division the most was built a few years ago but they've slipped a bit lately. On a weekly basis NXT has far surpassed them. It's not just the matches but also the amount of non-wrestling angles/significant promo time. NXT PPVs are lower than I thought though, maybe because their PPVs in general are shorter than most. The women getting 8 minutes total at their biggest show All In highlighted AEW's issues. Only Wrestle Kingdom gave less time to their women's match/es of all the major shows. 2023 total ring-time for women's matches on PPVs from WWE/NXT/AEW/ROH/NJPW/Impact/NWA: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}WWE Royal Rumble - 68:43 WWE Wrestlemania night 1 - 38:15 NWA 75th Anniversary night 1 - 37:31 WWE Payback - 37:20 NJPW Resurgence - 31:06 WWE Night of Champions - 31:00 NWA 312 - 30:09 Impact Hard to Kill - 28:43 WWE Summerslam - 28:23 WWE Crown Jewel - 27:40 WWE Money in the Bank - 27:05 NJPW Battle in the Valley - 26:47 NWA 75th Anniversary night 2 - 26:37 NXT Stand & Deliver - 25:43 WWE Backlash - 25:10 WWE Wrestlemania night 2 - 24:30 NXT Vengeance Day - 24:02 NXT Great American Bash - 23:34 Impact Slammiversary - 23:29 NWA Nuff Said - 21:39 ROH Death Before Dishonor - 20:30 NXT No Mercy - 20:19 WWE Elimination Chamber - 19:30 WWE Fastlane - 17:20 Impact Rebellion - 17:10 NXT Battleground - 16:01 NWA Samhain - 15:24 NWA Crockett Cup night 1 - 14:05 NJPW Sakura Genesis - 13:53 NWA Crockett Cup night 2 - 12:54 AEW Double or Nothing - 12:40 AEW All Out - 12:25 Impact/NJPW Multiverse United 2 - 12:22 Impact Bound for Glory - 11:59 ROH Supercard of Honor - 11:40 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door - 10:30 AEW Revolution - 10:00 Impact/NJPW Multiverse United - 9:20 AEW WrestleDream - 9:00 AEW All In - 8:50 NJPW Wrestle Kingdom - 5:56
*Not including mixed tags like Beth/Edge v Rhea/Finn from EC or the intergender battle royal from BFG, etc

HBK becoming Mr. Women’s Wrestling. Who would have thunk it given his, reputation, back in the 90’s.
The fact that in 4 years a women’s match has never even opened an AEW PPV, let alone main evented, is pathetic.

This graph is a little flawed honestly. It makes Smackdown look way better than Rampage or Collison, when in reality, all three shows pretty much always feature only one women's match per show. AEW just has more total matches than Smackdown so the percentage is lower. It's also why Rampage is way higher than the other AEW shows because it usually only features 3-4 matches each week. Also, it doesn't factor in match length at all. Last week's Raw would have a higher % of matches, but they only got 7:35 combined. This week had one match, but it got 16 minutes.
That said NXT is still miles ahead of the main roster & AEW in how they feature the women. All most every woman on the show feels like they matter, which is the most important part.

NXT needs a separate graph where they show how many matches are between women of the grown ass variety.

I remember the early womens thread in AEW talking about issues…thought it was a brouhaha and gave the company the benefit of the doubt because it was young, there is no excuse anymore.
This is pretty damning. Anyway, good for HBK lol

Poor Tony Khan. If you have a vagina he just doesn't know what to do. Unless it's ROH; been some great women's content on there, and I'll keep dropping into threads that Athena vs. Leyla Hirsch was one of my favorite weekly show matches of 2023. Still, that's an online show, not the main TV product, so yeah, hard to count it the same. AEW could probably get most of those percentages up closer to where Raw is just by running one more women's match a week, but where it's most damning is the PPV percentages; I get it, AEW PPVs tend to simply have more matches than WWE PLEs, so the percentage gets skewed there to some degree, but they really shouldn't have trouble having at least two per PPV, maybe even a third with the preshows, they've got more than enough talent to do that without anything about the show feeling watered down or "forced".

I think this particular graph is really flawed because of the kind of data used. In terms of presentation of the women (matches, promos, misc. segments, etc), Impact and NXT feel far beyond anything else in American wrestling. Yet you'd think Impact was barely any better than AEW (which deserves its last place showing regardless) in that regard because of the data used.

Very interesting list. I figured NXT would be very high up there, didn't think it would be that much though. WWE doing the damn thing.
I'm really interested in how a list like this would be for the tag team scene.

Last week's Impact, which was taped in the UK, had a 6-person Intergender tag, and a women's match, so that was still a decent amount of representation for them.
AEW PPVs have had less women's matches on the main cards than they did in previous years, though, which isn't good considering they've been criticized about the way its division has been booked for a while now.

This is why Rampage is the best AEW show. The numbers don't lie.

Another flaw in this graph is that it charts the number of matches on the card, not length.
So for example, if you've got an episode of Raw that has 3 women's matches, but they're all 3 minutes or under, and compare it to an episode of Dynamite that has one women's match, but that match goes 10-12 minutes, that chart will show Raw as having a higher percentage of women's matches, even if that Dynamite technically had more time dedicated to the women.
That still doesn't excuse the lack of focus on the women's division in AEW, but it's a flawed metric all the same.

Yep, that’s about right. The fact that AEW PPVs is the lowest is inexcusable After 4 years I kind of is, and I think most people gave them a pass on most things four years ago when they were getting started but I don’t understand how it’s still as poor as it is.
