Fightful Select report is out on Giulia.

The basic version: WWE isn't making any changes to Heatwave plans right now, because they are operating under the assumption that she'll be ready by then. They have no plans to change her look or presentation at all, because "it's what made her popular to begin with". She also apparently made incredibly positive impressions on other WWE talent backstage, along with higher ups and management. She will also be allowed to work both Marigold and WWE dates. And that there will be no issues with any sort of language barrier, as WWE has already factored that in, but are still incredibly happy and impressed that she's taking time to seriously study English as well.

To me THIS is the most important piece to all of this.

I figure as long as she does not need surgery then Giulia will be cleared in time for both heatwave and the Sumo Hall show on the 13th for MariGold.

But I have repeatedly said that locking down that working relationship is huge for both sides here because for WWE it gives them access to both amazing talent that could come in for one off matches and an ability to send women in NXT or even women they have no plans for on the main roster on excursions to MariGold and also MariGold benefits from just a much wider audience by getting more eyes on their product and their title (atleast the white belt) possibly being defended on WWE PLE's.

And also this bodes very well for IYO and KAIRI working that July 13th show...COME ON UTAMI VS IYO!!! GIMME WHAT I WANT....AND FOR KAIRI IDK GIMME KAIRI VS MIRAI OR EVEN YUZUKI.

So they do change up the songs when the wrestlers enter the ring and have to stand there while commercials and other segments play on TV.
When watching, I was wondering if the crowd was just listening to the Damage CTRL theme for like 8 minutes.

Dave is disputing the report regarding Giulia debuting at Heatwave. He thinks she isn't showing up in WWE any time soon still. So it's his word vs Fightful's word. Then again, he also got the Heatwave date completely wrong as well. He also, in what might end up being one of the more dumb moments of his writing career, revealed that Giulia is in fact, in a relationship, something she had taken great lengths to conceal. So good job Dave, you likely just burned a source.

There have been reports that Giulia starts on 7/20 in Toronto, facing Roxanne Perez for the NXT title. We had been told before she was hurt, from those in Japan who know her, that she was not starting in WWE that soon. Marigold is also of that belief. Time will tell. Those close to her also say she will not be starting that soon, and all the necessary paperwork for her, her mother and her boyfriend who are moving with her to Florida, has to be completed for her to be in NXT full-time. However, since the show is in Canada, not the U.S., the visa restrictions aren’t there so from a legal standpoint she could do the show.

The fact he can't even bother to get the correct date of heatwave is all I need to call BS on his "reporting" here he probably got that from some 2nd/3rd hand source who is a friend of a friend of like some concessioner.

I'm not gonna post the whole report here because its incredibly long, but Fightful issued an update today on Giulia, basically refuting almost everything Dave said. The most notable points though being that WWE is still operating under the assumption that Giulia will be working Heatwave, and that her vs Roxanne is "100% the plan for the title" even if she can't make Heatwave. And that Roxanne has been working stiffer at live events (ed note: which you can see from some other women's posts like Tatum). They also mentioned that Giulia won't have a problem securing a work visa, as she has done it multiple times already with NJPW.

Finally, they were pretty explicit in saying that WWE's goal with Giulia is to have her surpass Asuka in terms of accolades, and they want her to be the female face of the brand moving forward.

Also apparently Giulia being able to work MariGold was a sticking point to her signing with WWE...so you know they wanted Giulia BAD that they agreed to that.

And also Roxxane working stiffer sounds like they are trying to bring Roxxane up to Giulia's level instead of having Giulia needing to slow it down , soften up her offence etc. which is a great thing.

Definetly sounds like all in all WWE is going all completely in with Giulia as they should.
