Knock yourself out Iam talking about the notion that Carlito needs to be fired or is a racist because of that remark. Was it tone-deaf, probably, he’ll probably get a talking to backstage and everyone will move on Then you should have said that instead of basically implying to "get over it". Note: I don't think Carlito should be fired over it, but should have to be given a warning + training on why what he said isn't right. I haven't seen anyone on this thread saying Carlito should be fired over this. That's a strawman. |

Hoping now that they've turned face that they'll really be able to let loose in the ring again. They're both incredibly charismatic and highly entertaining, embrace that and let them show what they can do. Feels like they've just been spinning their wheels since Asuka went out and especially since Dakota has been out again.

I don't know I just feel like if someone thinks the answer to doing a racism on prime time cable television is to shitcan them, that's like, them disliking racism strongly, it's not an emotion I think really needs protracted countering and attempts to try and find a way in which that position becomes unreasonable.

Putting the whole racism thing aside for a second, if Carlito had just said "I need to learn Japanese" instead, it would have actually been funny.
Then you could have segments of him trying to learn the language because he fancies Iyo and Kairi, and he keeps getting things wrong because he's an idiot and hilarity ensues.
Instead we got this shit storm.
But yeah, it was stupid and unnecessary. He deserves a strong talking to, perhaps some training/education. Thankfully Iyo and Kairi were supposedly cool about it but it's an unfair situation to put them in to begin with.

If you want to kill a bunch of time in a rabbit hole of weirdness, check out Poppy's youtube channel and start from the beginning. It probably loses a lot of it's impact now knowing she's a kinda famous singer, but back in the day when youtube was still fun, she would release these bizzarre yet captivating short videos. |

I believe it was because of her ex boyfriend who was a really weird creppy and overly controlling f***er that basically gimmicked her to act like a robot to promote her music etc And she had a feud with another girl/artist that involved accusations of ripping off her schtick or something The entire thing is insane but I only barely remember the very surface of that entire thing. |
