They gotta get rid of the Dmg Cntrl theme as much as I love it it just has too much of a heel conotation to it. I wonder if they'll split when Asuka and Dakota return (except for the Sky Pirates), because they don't have any strong heel threats to go up against as a face stable. I absoloutley see Asuka coming back and basically trying to divide KAIRI and IYO. It is a story I have been hoping they do because it can touch on so much history and it will allow KAIRI to really thrive because if there is anything she tops IYO and Asuka at it is emotional storytelling...if Asuka tries to berate KAIRI and KAIRI bursts into a emotional f***ing wreck with IYO fighting for her it will be amazing.

Looks like a proper face turn will happen shortly. They are too good to keep booing. I thought they were already Face.....

If Asuka's injury is an ACL injury than she probably won't be back until around WM. I guess it all depends on if WWE actually goes through with a women's midcard singles title. If they do, i could see maybe a soft split where they each have their own goals and pursuits, like IYO going after the world title, Asuka or Dakota go after the midcard title while the other teams with Kairi to chase the tag titles. Have them all doing their own thing while still allowing them to occasionally team up together if need be.

Would love if they all remain close in Kayfabe but I aint putting stock in it...atleast not Asuka staying in the friendly circle. I think having KAIRI and IYO being a solid team again seem's almost set to have Asuka be jealous upon her return in a sort upside down version of ThunderRocks break up when IYO turned on Mayu during the tag league which funny enough...KAIRI was on the opposing team when it happened , with Asuka berating KAIRI thinking IYO makes her weaker and trying to get KAIRI back on her side but KAIRI instead chooses to fight big sister Asuka proving that she is not weak...in the same way that IYO's betrayl of Mayu elevated Mayu into being the icon of STARDOM.

Think they are tweeners more then anything but they are kind of struggling right now. The whole Damage Ctrl works as a heel unit so i imagine they might be waiting for Dakota and Asuka to come back and have them all together again as heels again. Kairi at this point is just there to be a goon for Iyo and the team, but Iyo should be right up the top and its crazy how Hunter is not pushing her to the moon instead of the likes of Nia.

Assuming Dakota gets a return with them. It feels like she may have used her last life, so to speak, given what happened to Tegan with the old injury bug. Dakota definitely in the same column. Dakota has done a lot more compared to Tegan Nox. Where Tegan had multiple issues, including having next to no actual charisma. So where to now is the thy question. So let's play a little devils advocate. Liv and Raquel are no doubt getting the next shot at the womens tag titles. And Liv presumeably isn't losing her title untill Mania to a returning Rhea. Where that leaves IYO and by proxy KAIRI isn't looking good at all because if they stick to the above then they are gonna be fodder to Liv to further prop her up. Prettty desolate times ahead outside of IYO and KAIRI working the MariGold show during Mania Weekend. I would honestly say its a bit worse than that, because they are also going to be propping up Raquel, who for lack of a better term, has sucked complete ass since returning. I don't know if its ring rust, nagging injuries, or something else, but she's been incredibly bad since her return, both character wise (she gets her ass handed to her on almost a weekly basis), and actual in ring wise (she can't even do power spots these days). Problem is that Triple H is VERY high on her, despite no one else really caring about her. Her NXT Women's Title run was arguably one of the biggest reasons why Black and Gold failed, especially when they made the boneheaded decision to turn her face when the audience wanted a Dakota face turn instead. I think it was pretty damn alarming when even Kairi and IYO combined couldn't get anything good out of Raquel during their tag match a couple of weeks ago. Because the only other woman they haven't managed to get anything good out of was Sonya Deville. And she's been banished to Main Event purgatory. As for IYO, their last chance to really capitalize on her potential is at the Rumble, because she's been the women's MVP in WWE this year, having the best matches and generally getting the strongest reactions in those matches. Problem is that Rhea getting injured again with no timeframe for recovery basically tells us that she's going to be back by the Rumble, winning it to get back to Liv. And barring an audience revolt, that match will likely be like every other Rhea/Liv match, where Raquel and Dom interfere to help Liv, and Rhea gets hyperfixated on Dom and Raquel at some point during the build. I can't imagine her sticking around if she's not in the main title scene at Mania, especially since her contract as far as we know, is still up in 2025, and I doubt she's going to sign a new one unless she gets paid top woman money, along with the booking to match it. Because Iyo is strongly career motivated. It's one of the reasons why she left Japan.

I'm not too worried about IYO. They clearly care about her. They don't hand out clean wins over Bianca to...anyone. She even won in that HHH Hoss-girl fantasy match. They are doing a good job of making IYO look important without having her have to win every time. It looks like she's being set into the Asuka slot, so the complaint to have will likely be she's a player but rarely gets to be the main character.
Kairi on the other hand, she's about as low of a priority as anyone that is actually on TV. She's basically just IYO's plus one just like she was Asuka's plus one.

But unlike Asuka who seem's absoloutley like a WWE lifer and perfectly fine with her spot that is not something I imagine IYO is not going to be fine with that when she clearly is out blitzing every woman on this roster bell to bell and getting nothing for that effort she has been putting in to basically give just about every single woman on the main roster their best match just this year alone.

What a weak way to determine a #1 contender. It just tells me that whoever wins is getting fed to Liv with very little build.

Yup , goes back to the lazy non exsistent attempt to give these women actual stories that I mentioned in a previous post of mine. And people wonder why women get little to no pops when they come out and how much effort the likes of IYO and KAIRI have to exert to get the crowd into the matches they are involved in.

I still want to see that match regardless frankly. Here's how the match is going to play out: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} IYO will dominate most of the match, Dom will try and interfere and get caught, Raquel will mistime her interference spot again, but cost IYO the match, while Liv walks over and hits Oblivion to win the match.
IYO looks stunned and like a geek and falls back down the card, just in time for Rhea to return.
