KAIRI ate her body weight in pankcakes apparently.  And KONAMI should just show up to support Joshi murder squad even for a night as she is technically a freelancer. Would that make Iyo and Kairi honorary New Day members?  |

I'd put the odds of Konami ever being in WWE at near zero, at least while Asuka is around. She has been pretty vocal that she HATES Asuka with every fibre of her being. |

While I like the idea of them all being The Best Friends Gang, and I REALLY like that Asuka got a win over Charlotte, tonight backs up my theory that the writers have no idea what they are doing with this story.

Pretty confident they changed (at the very least rushed) the ending due to Charlotte getting hurt during the commercial break, so I doubt story logic was the first thing on their minds;

Yeah Charlotte got injured in that match. She was screaming "my knee" so tonight's match isn't an indication about what they were doing. Injuries trump storylines.

SEE NOTHING BUT LOVE ON THE ISLAND. As much as I dislike her hate to see anyone go down with an injury. But going back to the story at hand...they keep playing very loose with this and I laid it on in an earlier post but now they keep throwing little monkey wrenches into things like Bayley has been a detriment to both IYO and KAIRI but Bayley ends up being helpful for Asuka. I can see a scenario where KAIRI and IYO want to murder Bayley but Asuka is keeping them at bay right now because Bayley is being useful or she ends up siding with Bayley fully. And now with Mia Yim and Zelina getting involved and Charlotte going down who knows for how long alters things further. The fun part in all this is not being sure where this is going but the little frustrating bit is getting this feeling they have no idea what direction they want to go week to week and it keeps changing from they have tension then they don't have tension. |

But also should hopefully be used to actually do something with Zelina and Mia and get them more screen time because if SD's womens division has one giant glaring weakness it is their depth and IYO and KAIRI will make them look worthwhile even though again they will be the fall girls to give KAIRI and IYO some wins. |

Hate is a bit of an over read into the situation, but the summary is Konami was Asuka’s lone protege and felt abandoned when she left to go to WWE out of the blue. She’s mentioned several times in her blog and most notably a Stardom press promo before her match with Syuri that she moved to Tokyo with nothing and had no one, and that Syuri took her under her wing when she was “abandoned” and “thrown away” by other people (she never names Asuka but clearly implies her, the idea being she was relying on her and even living with her if I recall and when she left it stranded her and she didn’t know what to do ). |

It's interesting because you have Bayley apologizing for her mishap last week and then volunteering to stay behind and then she starts awkwardly rambling. IYO is having none of it and is just getting irritated and a bit angry at Bayley. Dakota was a bit shocked and worried after hearing what IYO said and tried to break it to Bayley gently that it might be best for her to stay behind. Then there's Asuka who seems amused at how they keep telling Bayley to stay behind and yet she still comes out anyways. It does seem like there's some sort of divide in regards to Bayley with Asuka and Dakota being somewhat on her side and then there's IYO and Kairi who probably want her dead. |

Could be a possibilty because really there are a whole slew of options on the table....everyone once thought it was being built to have IYO come out the big babyface and then it looks like it will be Bayley coming out the babyface. But now it seems like there is a divide...with maybe Asuka and Bayley on one side with KAIRI and IYO on the other with Dakota in the middle at the moment but seemingly favoring Bayley by showing some sympathy for her when IYO tells her to stay backstage. |
