I really hope they let IYO go in on Bayley and berate her the same way she did Mayu when Io originally turned on her in the most heartbreaking moment in all of STARDOM so they can really blur the lines of this feud because Bayley really should be called out for her shit in this feud.

That would be nice.
As of now, this story sucks. Bayley is supposed to be the sympathetic one because IYO and her friends are not native English speakers.
It ignores that Bayley has been an extremely terrible person for the past what 4-5 years now?
If they just leave it as it is, this story is just plain old racist. I'm really shocked more people are not calling out the anti-Asian sentiment in that segment last week.
Even if that was not the intention, and the story they wanted to get across was "mean girls backstabbing their friend". No one thought, maybe we should at last wait until Dakota is here, because this looks bad? I guess that's expecting too much from the company that let Jinder Mahal cut that racist promo on Nakamura, and then have Jinder win.
I have my doubts they will let IYO say much. To say she's an afterthought is an understatement.
She is never on the posters. She was not even invited to the Wrestlemania Kick off last night, despite being the only champion in an actually booked match. Rhea Ripley was allowed to go up there and say IYO sucks (which is fine, Rhea should boast about herself, but IYO should be given the same platform) Rhea could not even be bothered to get her name right lol. Normally I'd say it's just a gaffe, but Rhea's last promo, she couldn't even remember IYO was the other champion, and after stumbling referred to her as "someone else". If you compare their respective booking, Rhea is right. Compared to her IYO does suck. It really is a case of the company telling the fans you should not care too much about this wrestler.
I'm guessing the rest of this story will focus on where Dakota's loyalties are. If they want to fix it, Dakota needs to call out Bayley and side with IYO.
It's been am unfocused mess, but in the end, despite accidentally still being the champion, this is not IYO's story. Turns out this is Bayley's story.
I think another great way to get Bayley called out, is have her do an interview with Michael Cole. Cole and Bayley are eternal enemies like Batman and the Joker. lol

I think they're going to have a great match. I also suspect the story's going to get more attention over the coming weeks.
I say this as a native English speaker, so I guess take that for what it's worth, but I've watched a lot of wrestling and gone "man, that's kind of racist." The Jinder/Shinsuke stuff is a perfect example. How Jinder got away with saying Godzilla like he did in that promo was nuts, so was mocking Shinsuke's facial reactions. I'm not getting that vibe from the Bayley feud.
The story that I'm seeing here is these women all wrestled together and want to take over WWE. It just so happens that they're Japanese and as part of that, they used their own native tongue to try and communicate without Bayley being aware of what was going on. That's shitty, no matter what language you speak.
There's always a chance it goes sideways and they make it a huge part of the feud, but for now, it feels like a small plot device. The Shinsuke/Jinder stuff was overt racism.

Yea the press conference really made how little they care for this feud right now look. Bianca doesn't have a match let alone anything to do at Mania yet they trotted her out there just to waste time , like even if they were hesitant to have IYO out there to talk they could have had Bayley come out to do most of the talking and then Dmg Cntrl confront her to atleast promote the match just a little and add a little more juice to this feud. Sadly I think you may be right that once Dakota shows back this is gonna become more about Dakota and Bayley than about IYO and Bayley....but there is a way to make that work but that actually it would have to end up with IYO retaining at WM with Dakota costing Bayley the match and I give that next to no chance at happening as of now. We will see what tonight brings and hopefully IYO's to finally step to the forefront and get to talk etc because this is as of now her feud.

Yea I get how it looks but as of now I just took it as a plot point...and untill they suddenly make it this vital thing for the rest of the story then I take it as such just a plot point that finally got addressed last week.

Yeah. Last night's presser was a pretty strong indication to me that Asian talents in WWE are still treated way more poorly than a lot of other minorities. The fact that they couldn't bring out Bayley and Iyo to promote their match, but had time to shoehorn in other segments was largely telling.

I agree that Bayley/Iyo deserved a few minutes on there but I don't think they left them off because Iyo's Asian. They could have showcased a bunch of their female talent in one segment if the purpose of that presser was to introduce characters to press that may not watch wrestling all the time.

Nah, I absolutely believe ethnicity has a part to play in this at this point. Iyo has not once been given a spotlight on the level of Rhea, or even remotely close. And her reign has been very poorly booked overall. And I doubt it's because she's an ESL speaker, because NXT has the same problem with Asian women who do speak fluent English. The only women WWE likes to strut out for media events are Charlotte, Becky, Bianca, and Rhea. Never Iyo.

Interesting now that this is the 2nd week in a row they have run with the KAIRI AND ASUKA were the ones who got into IYO's head and turned her against Bayley.
The more they bring it up the more I feel it has to come into play sooner than later especially if they plan on turning IYO babyface sooner than later.
But also we just discussed this very thing happening that when Dakota showed back up that it would become more about Dakota and Bayley and less about IYO and loe and behold that even though IYO is the one holding the title and having the match at Mania that she was not exsistent here.
Still plenty of weeks to go to fix this but to kick this off it is doing nothing for IYO as she somehow feels even less involved than when Dmg Cntrl was all together.

Iyo vs. Bayley with Dakota as the special ref is the natural conclusion of this if Dakota doesn't turn beforehand. Then we really test Dakota's loyalty in the who's side is she on storyline like Summerslam 1992.

It would be a great way to play into my scenario where Dakota , Asuka and KAIRI turn on IYO and we get a Hogan and Rock ending where IYO and Bayley stand together to fend them off turning IYO babyface.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C3Joyt9s7kX I like how Bayley's got Dakota walking in front of her where she can keep an eye on her at all times........and that there's like 6 ft. of distance in between them just in case Dakota tries something.

I love how Tegan Nox is trending on Twitter right now. She is forever linked to War Games and Dakota's deceptive nature forever.

I still think Dakota is going to turn on Bayley but it’s probably best she doesn’t since that leaves Bayley in a 4 on 1 situation with no backup. Maybe Naomi might back her up but wouldn’t make much sense for Bianca or Shotzi too.

Becky will be feuding with Rhea Ripley soon heading into WM, and Charlotte is out with a Torn ACL
