I would argue its actually worse for Damage CTRL, because it's pretty clear at this point that the only people who are going to come out of this looking better are Bayley, Naomi, Bianca, and Jade.

The concept of Damage CTRL was good on paper, but having them constantly be fed to others is just outright god awful booking. Say what you will about Judgment Day, but at least they get made to look like threats more often than not. Where Damage CTRL doesn't even get that the majority of the time. And then people wonder why audiences react very little when they come out.

If IYO drops the title then WWE are going to be in for one heck of a juggling act because they will need Heels to feed to Jade.....but they'll also need to build up Heels to challenge Bayley as champion......




.....or are they going to repeat the same pattern as last year, where Damage Ctrl gets clowned every week on the RTWM, lose their WrestleMania match as well and then WWE tries to act like it didn't matter by pushing a member of Damage Ctrl as a title contender afterwards.

Bold of you to assume they'll bother building anyone up. They'll have Jade run through all of Damage CTRL multiple times, and Bayley will just beat them afterwards in cold matches. And when its time, they'll just have Jade probably take the title off of Bayley, or if not her, then in a multi person match.

Bayley and Jade ain't gonna have a hard time to find opponents to feud with. There's Iyo (w/ Damage CTRL backing her up) who will get a 1 month ppv build probably, 2 if she's lucky but yeah she's losing. There's Bianca eventually going heel, there's Tiffany Stratton who's doing well, there's Nia who will probably switch brands given she's already been in the Raw Women's Title scene and then you got these one off women who they can raise up to just be utility challengers. It ain't hard. We don't know how long Bayley's going to stay champion but it ain't gonna be long and everyone's alignment is important.

Damage CTRL, shit, they'll probably break up. It is what it is. They ain't gonna be around as is too much longer and if they are Iyo's getting casted out because she's been a paper champion.

If they're trying to protect Jade, then I can see her & Bianca with a tag team title run, which basically would keep Bianca out of the Women's title picture and where Jade can spend her time killing the girls over on Raw instead, while they build up the other Heels on Smackdown for Bayley.

Yeah that's possible. Even Graves on commentary made it seem like it might have been late on the timing when he said "results will go down as a win for Belair."

I realize this is literally the DMG CTRL thread so I shouldnt expect otherwise, but it seems to be the place where this match is being discussed. Y'all are on one I think. Everywhere else I see online people are hyped the f*** up for this match. And yes, Jade, Naomi, and Bianca will win but personally I think a trio of black women coming together to beat some heels is cool and good and think y'all should too.

well if you’re a dmg ctrl fan, I do think there is a couple good things to take from tonight, most of all that IYO has to have a better chance of keeping her title now

wwe doesn’t really do the whole “entire faction loses all at one event” thing very often at all, look at judgment day and bloodline especially last year. the three gals that aren’t IYO are for sure losing so that at least to me makes me think IYO is winning.

you’ve also got a very high profile match for them at mania AND there is one way that they could do a clean winning sweep, if a certain someone interferes and costs bianca the match. whooo could that be who doesn’t have a match?

Maybe because, and god help me because I am pointing this out, there are fans who are pissed off that Asuka, Kairi, etc are getting shafted at Mania likely because of their own ethnicity. It's not unreasonable to think that WWE sure as hell loves killing the momentum of Japanese/Asian stars at Wrestlemania every single goddamn year. A Japanese star hasn't won at Mania in over 20 years.

It is cool that three black women are coming together to beat down heels. But at the same time its f***ing stupid as hell that people continue to downplay the mistreatment of Asian talent at Mania. Every year they SHOULD win (look at last year as a very good example of this), fans come up with some bullshit excuse to justify why they should actually lose.

And yes, I am pointing this out here, because WWE/TKO love to spout how diverse they are and how they are an international brand and treat everyone the same. But then seem to have a consistent pattern of treating certain minorities like ass every year at Mania.

For those that think things will be just fine for Dmg Cntrl out of this hey you do you all well and good.

For us on the other end though we have seen and been watching this exact thing with Bianca for years now where Bianca easily just trounces them by herself and now she has her twin from muscle mountain that just did the samething.

So apologies if it isn't a celebration of things to come because atleast to me no one is gonna touch this trio untill either Jade or Bianca turns heel or BAYLEY , CHARLOTTE AND BECKY are their opposition if they keep them together for the long term.

This was IMO the best part of this entire build.

We finally get IYO's side of this story and comes off like her NXT self and she spits nothing but absoloute truth.

And the brawl was just chefs kiss very very intense and IYO looks like she took the light to the head lol. It legit felt like to two crazed women who just want to kill eachother and it was helped by them going to what looked like security camera pov that made this overall feel more chaotic and not so staged.

I hope they get the time to absoloutley kill it because if they are IMO we are gonna get the best version of IYO in ring so far in her whole WWE run and same with Bayley because she could not have a better dance partner as they say.
