From my very own website, BHMode.com:

My favorites, and I never understood how they made it into comic books in the '70s, were the "learn how to seduce any woman" ads. Those and the X-Ray specs ads that clearly gave the impression you could use them to see through womens' clothing.

Man, if I could get the deadliest fight secrets, and teach it to my life sized monster ghost, that would rock pretty hard.
Sadly, I'm one of the guys that, as a kid, would order this stuff and then wind up pissed off.

Lest we forget Count Dante's sidekick, Lord Randall. He would teach you the deadliest fighting secrets, but he's not even supposed to be here today. OK, I'll stop now.

I recently got a bunch of JLE comics from the early 90s, and one of them had an ad for the Atari 7800,,in 1990! Nobody in 1990 was buying atari stuff, heck, i was amazed it even was still around back then! That would be like seeing an ad for virtual boy in 1996. Sadly, i still dont have any of the classic 70s comic book ads (though i do have the PWI #1 reprint that has all the old school ads)
