He was great in the ring in the Collision Era . It's crazy how he regressed in such a short time AEW's schedule kept him in shape, some people bitched about it but constant reps matter He had one match since Wembley and it was a house show match vs Dominick. He got exposed tonight. He needs to actively compete or it's gonna be the same issue you get when you ask part timers to work long stretches. He can likely still get back to Collision form, but if he wants to be ready for a Mania match worth a shit he better start competing weekly, even in multi-mans |

Dude was in a lot of tag matches. And his best matches (Joe and dude at forbidden door) were with slower opponents. Here, he was with some of the best athletes in the company. Definitely gassed. Doesn’t help he looks bigger, which I get wanting to do, but going at a lighter weight might be better. Unless he can’t cause of his injuries or something. |

They're gonna have to put Punk in more matches on television. His cardio has to build up.
I do think they're on the Punk heel turn train. He's said he wasn't there to make friends just to make money, he pointed out that he was the Paul Heyman guy before Roman, he's poked Seth and Cody (the top 2 faces), and tonight he yelled out that he didn't come back just to lose to Dusty's kid. The trigger's getting pulled at Mania or the Raw after. Hunter's building to it.

Hope his arm's alright, he was holding it a lot and they never drew attention to it. There was a video a few weeks back where he was wearing a heating pad on his lower back and he seemed to favor it a lot in the rumble. I’m wondering if he’s having trouble with it. |

It's possible he was the planned winner but a mixture of not being in shape and Rock backing out a Roman Mania match due to bad Vince-related PR they changed plans a day or so ago and had Cody win it. Might be why he had 'Sasha face' for a lot of the match.
