Honestly, given how long Punk lasted in AEW before the... issues started, giving him a run up until 'Mania might be feasible. Give dude his main event spot on Night 1 or whatever and call it a career.
Holy shit though, I physically cannot wait for the first promo. I've got to hear how he spins this.

WrestlePurists - which is is close to Punk like Hausman - suddenly today was saying Punk had been having conversations with top WWE guys over the last few weeks.
I’m assuming a few top guys had chats, this was kept quiet and now he’s back.

Punk has issues. Those issues not going away. He is an emotional basket case. Triple H probably will get a short sugar rush out him business wise but Brooks won’t last long…especially in the locker room. it’s gonna be so bad im so excited Judging by Seth’s reaction that has a good chance of being legit, it’s gonna get messy. |

That is Jungle Boys own fault. He opened his mouth when Punk was allegedly trying to protect him. Perry shouldnt even be in the damn company anymore, if the story is true. What power did Punk have to "try to protect" Jungle Boy? The glass spot was approved by management and they even let Jack rent out a limo to do it. What right did Punk have to veto it? He has no power. Amazing how you blast The Elite for "running wild with power", yet you have no problem with Punk being a dictator without any power to do so. From all of the accounts we've heard it was Jungle Boy that fired the first shot. You are right that Punk should have just kept his hands to himself, that's ultimately what did him in. But, my god, it felt like one half of that locker room was so dead-set on f***ing throwing the guy out that it was just ridiculous. Eddie Kingston, Britt Baker, Ricky Starks, FTR, Brody King all defended the guy. Those are all big names. Jericho worked with Punk again. Like, at some point we have to look at the problems of the other side, the only others involved, which were Kenny and The Bucks. I dont know what the whole deal even was anymore towards the end. But after Brawl-Out, Tony Khan tried, but he should have stepped up to help his own company and rein these guys in. I want AEW to succeed and letting the inmates run the assylm, Punk included, utterly screwed himself over. But, my god, as a boss, Khan should have had the come together. My main point, if I had any, is that this hurts AEW. In sales, in merch and in star power and the only finger I can point to is The Elite members. |

Oddly enough, this hurts my interest in WWE just as I was getting back into them more. I watch WWE in bits and pieces anymore except for NXT, so I can at least safely pretend whatever segments Punk is in don't exist. Just as long as he doesn't show up in my favorite weird, horny show. |

It's amazing that as long as you can draw money, you can assault multiple coworkers and get a God's welcome in your hometown in another company and have lots of stans still breathlessly defend you and victim blame the people you assaulted for "driving you out".

To whom it may concern of the FAN Forum or irl friends, Due to my steadily rising dislike of the professional wrestler CM Punk, I am very upset at this time. I am not a fan of him because of his various transgressions and I have a feeling that he smells rancid, like the back of an unwashed yak. My sudden outburst at his return to World Wrestling Entertainment was in part due to my expectation that they would not bring Mr. Punk back to the company but unfortunately, they have. I have lit all of my comic books on fire and will hold a blood grudge against deep dish pizza for the rest of my days. If you, the non professional wrestling viewer, do not understand my vitriol you can meet me one on one in the ring at Royal Rumble since Tampa Bay Rays fans can’t even fill that shithole anyways. Imagine how Hunter and Shawn would have reacted if Vince managed to sign Bret back (in an alternative world where Owen lives and Goldberg’s kick is softer) and made it a surprise especially if the re-signed Bret was likely to relieve Hunter of his title.
