This thread is already a greatest hits thread of every Punk topic since Page 54. As an AEW watcher, just glad he's not bringing this bs to them anymore. Can just sit back and eat popcorn.

6 months ago - Punk is getting his own show. Now - Punk is debuting on a PPV directly opposite said show. Honestly regardless of anything this is why I f***ing love that there are two companies now. Crazy shit is happening everywhere again and it’s not just WWE monopolizing everything. This is the only part of the attitude era I missed, talent jumping from show to show.

First off, LOLMELTZER. He had next to no credibility with me anymore but, and I quote, "there is “no evidence” that CM Punk is returning to WWE tonight at Survivor Series in Chicago, and reiterates “those close to the situation have denied it.” Second off, it's a work folks, at least with Seth. I'm a big Seth Rollins fan, and an even bigger Colby Lopez fan since he grew up and got his start here in the Quad Cities. He isn't going to go into business for himself in front of fans. He's too much of a professional for that. Drew might be a different story, but I hope not. He might just be sour with his contract situation. Regardless, HOLY SHIT. I was hoping he would return for the full circle story and I am a Punk fan. He will draw fans and more eyes on the product is always a good thing. He's also in a professional environment with, I'm assuming, a boss in HHH that will be like Vince in the way that if CM Punk steps out of line, Mr. Brooks will be plying his trade at TNA, NWA, or MLW shortly. Davenport 4 life.

Be a mad coincidence if this was the end of all his "trans lives matter" rhetoric Crazy, just a coinky-dink Punk's always been pretty steady about his personal beliefs regardless of where he works. The only real difference in WWE is that it was 100% on social media versus AEW where he wore some very political shirts on TV without any real blowback.
Like, as much as I don't like guy, I'll give him that.
I will say, some of the shirts and stuff he did in certain states, I can respect him for outwardly showing those messages, still dont care for him being a locker room cancer though

Who are Punk’s locker room allies? Kofi from carshare days, Bayley is friends with AJ and… It’s going to be lonelier than Collision was when it was the CM Punk & Friends show. Maybe Cody? Stephen Amell is a mutual and he spoke highly of Punk's contributions to "Heels." s I really, really doubt it's going to be Cody.

Great to see Cm Punk back. As he can face real wrestlers and not nerds like Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. So true. I never got a boner watching those losers. 4/10.

HHH's ego probably thinks "I can keep him under control, there will be no backstage brawls here." And well time will tell whether it's the case or not.

Listen, lemme preface this by saying that this could all very likely be a work, BUT if Seth’s heat with Punk is legit and nobody really knew about this until it happened, this is a bit of a slap in the face to one of the workhorses of the company. I suspect they all sat down and worked it out before the show, but given the fact that even the dirt sheets were fooled there does seem to be a chance that no one knew. And that would be a MASSIVE middle finger to Rollins, if so. Like, a clear indication that the company doesn’t value him at all. If WWE really brought in someone as toxic and universally disliked as Punk without giving his soon-to-be coworkers a head’s up, the long term effects could be not even worth THAT pop.

It's so crazy how there's legitimately a 25% chance Punk got upset about something from the press conference and leaves by Monday. We are literally in weekly "will Punk quit" times here.

"He won't start shit in WWE because they won't put up with him attacking co-workers" is such a crazy thing people roll out as like a pro-Punk-in-WWE trait and not like the greatest flaw about CM Punk as a member of a roster.

I think Cm punk sucks but I love the drama he brings with him. Finally getting to attitude era levels of excitement seeing dudes jump ship. i absolutely love this. Nobody should get too upset. Only in wrestling, folks. What we love is weird as f***

Who are Punk’s locker room allies? Kofi from carshare days, Bayley is friends with AJ and… It’s going to be lonelier than Collision was when it was the CM Punk & Friends show. Well, think about whose locker room it is, depending on which brand he’s going to. If it’s Raw, well, that’s Miz’s locker room, that’s Cody’s locker room. If it’s Smackdown, on the other hand, well, Punk will just have to try and not be there the weeks Roman decides to show up. Jade likes him and talked about how he helped her. Other than that, I'm sure he can work it out with most, this type of shit is a bit overblown here. Not to mention Danielson openly admitted that he and Miz don't get along but could make it work fine.
