Cody Rhodes left AEW when Punk came in with the big money contract. But Cody sure splayed it coy that it was something different he wouldn't talk about and I couldn't help but think it was Brandy related. He chose to stick up for his wife, who though she seems like a good person just wasn't good at the job they expected her to have. She left so he left. I do not suspect it had anything to do with Punk.
But if it did. Man this gets interesting for him and his journey. I am a Cody fan. I was honestly devastated when he went back to WWE. I think Punks presence hurt AEW badly. I think Punks the reason half of the arenas are tarped off now. But I still want to like him and hope some good comes from all of this. And it does bring my viewership to Raw tomorrow when I otherwise would have skipped it.

oh f*** you’re right oh NO HAHAHAHA Yeah, best case for Priest is that when he loses the cash-in he doesn't end up in Bitchhalla. MY BOY!!! Yeah it is going to be interesting how this goes. I figured he was bound to get screwed out his title shot due to BS but this probably cements it. At best, he does the Seth heist cash in. I think he gets Randy at Mania Yeah I can see Priest holding the briefcase until a month before MITB and then cashing in on Punk (gives Punk a 2-3 month run). That's enough wiggle room. Then Gunther wins MITB and looms as a threat for a while. We can get Sami beating Priest and then Gunther cashes in on Sami. It's a win win. |

Seth's doing a whole lot of work there for something the cameras had no interest in documenting and I mean maybe yeah it's all a work and meant to stir some worked shoot drama and make people wonder, but honestly every time the question becomes "Is this real heat or a work?" with CM Punk it turns out it's just real heat What’s incredible is that they’re both plausible scenarios: 1. Colby Lopez hates Phil Brooks’ guts and was blindsided by his appearance and is furious 2. Seth Rollins knows that even if he’s not on camera, fans are gonna have their phones out and he can get people talking by blowing up social media with a perceived shoot Either way, interest is piqued. I'm normally not the one to immediately go "it's a work brother!" But Seth is such a pro, that my prediction is leaning towards option 2. He knows what he's doing. |

But I haven’t watched wrestling in 6 months and I’m loving the energy about the whole thing. He makes FAN an interesting place so I’m in for it.
