Been catching up on a podcast for a bit and the past few days I've been constantly hearing an ad for some probably terrible Dragon Ball mobile game, and I just need to know if anyone but me has heard how utterly strange this ad is.
Wish I could find a sound rip of it or something, seems like the kind of thing that could blow up big on Reddit, but is some guy - maybe, the delivery is awkward enough that it might be AI which would explain a lot - just talking about this game, but his pronunciation is so incredibly strange, like "anime" somehow keeps come out as, "enAHme," Goku is pronounced with the emphasis on the wrong syllable so it comes out as Go-KUU, and at one point the ad mentions, "Dragon Ball Zed," which sounds strange enough as it is except it sounds more like it ends in a T sound than a D. There's also this bit where in the middle of this otherwise dry, bored-sounding delivery the guy suddenly growls out, "And now," in a way like he's about to introduce your feature presentation or something.
It's just so utterly weird and I need to know if anyone but me has heard this thing.
