Let's face it: until the past decade, WWF/WWE women didn't really have the best hand dealt to them, whether it just be not enough time, Vince giving up on the project (more on that in a bit) or the various sleazy matches they were put into.
Let's say you had the power to bring one woman back from their prime in-ring time to modern day WWE to get another chance> Who would you pick and why?
A couple I could think of:
Alundra Blayze: Yes, she was the face of WWF Women's Wrestling in the early 90s, but given how limited the division was back then that isn't really saying much. In modern WWE I think she would have a better chance of showing what she could do and probably have some banger matches, without worrying about her division being scrapped like it was in 1995 shortly before she went to WCW.
Bull Nakano: Japanese wrestlers, at least with the women, seem to be getting more respect now than they did in her time. If she could keep clean unlike why she was fired in 1995, I could see her easily being in modern WWE what they want Nia Jax to be.
Eve Torres: She did have a short return recently, but I think had time been a few years later for her she could have been a good regular feature on TV. Her vs. first run Rousey might have been interesting.
AJ Lee: Promo-wise one of the catalysts for how WWE women's wrestling changed, another one that I think was a few years early for what she could have really shown.
Wendi Richter: In her day, before the pay dispute, she might have had the chance to be to the women what Hulk Hogan was for the men. She was on a magazine cover with him and no one else once. Her style would have to modernize, yes, but I could still see her adapting well enough.

Can I just choose Jumping Bomb Angels, despite it being two people? Kinda like how the whole N.W.O. was one draft pick?

Molly Holly. She was done so dirty when she had the potential to be a legend.

Bull Nakano is the correct answer here.
If WCW counts as part of WWE's past, Cuty Suzuki would be my runner up. My honorable mentions are: Kaitlyn Sensational Sherri and she's not out of her prime yet, but I really want Billie Kay back.

I didn't count her because she's still on the roster. How long is a different question given how long she's been there already, but I was mostly sticking to people not currently employed as active competitors.

I'd take Rhonda Singh if I can get her as a monster heel and not Bertha Faye.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Lunas crazy ass in this era Would she be more appreciated as a woman WRESTLER in this era? She had a chance in the Blayze reign, but they relegated her to manager. The Attitude Era? Nuff said. Good calls on the JBA's. Molly too, or any woman who actually was a wrestler first and foremost from the AE/Divas eras.

I second Victoria. She could have some bangers with this current roster

I'd take Rhonda Singh if I can get her as a monster heel and not Bertha Faye. Ooooh, good idea. And she'd probably be treated better, with a character with dignity. Nia Jax is taken somewhat seriously (good idea, not so good worker though). Then again they're still not perfect (took them a while to get over Doudrop) when it comes to PSWs' roles.
