I have never really looked at my TV and thought "Oh good QT Marshall is on screen". I know he's apparently been a big help, but if he has big wants of being on television then nah I'm fine with losing him there. It's gonna be a grim day for people who will now need to find a New Guy to pretend is getting like crazy TV time and a featured spot to either deride AEW's talent pool or claim their favorite is being crowded out by him specifically.

I know he's not here to defend himself, but nothing is nicer than not having to hear QT Marshall defense right now. Like, the idea of Hobbs turning on the blandest dude on the roster as a big brain booking move was a sight to read. Shit, the fact that he's a background guy in the Callis family says a lot of how great his TNT title reign was handled with QT

Neat that he's apparently a good trainer, but that didn't make him a great TV presence and it sure as shit didn't make him a good creative second in command. People acted like Hobbs finally turning on QT was going to be a big pop moment when it happened nad now I don't even 100% remember if it happened, but it clearly didn't go anywhere for him if it did. Because like. Of course it didn't.

He was fine as a low card jobber.
Qtv was a mistake though, he should have started a ten-pin bowling themed tag team with that workhorseman guy called the pin pals.

That genuinely felt like dark ages WWE comedy to me. It set Hobbs back months to the point where only in the last month does he feel credible again.

Bad in execution, obviously, but. For Hobbs, especially. Completely braindead idea and I'm not surprised to hear he's lost footing in creative because frankly nobody should even had made the decisions to do that. Hobbs is this big scary dude. Giving him an entourage of tabloid reporters doing weird gossip dunks on his opponents made no sense and did nothing to connect to his character. It was a weird growth that overshadowed the gimmick, and at no point did it mesh with what Hobbs was doing. Johnny TV? Well, the bit wasn't funny with him either but he fit with the act as a vain Hollywood dick. It read to me like QT had this idea in mind of a TMZ ripoff and he crammed that into something on the idea it could push Hobbs, probably had real faith it'd put him over but obviously it super did not, and the whole thing just kinda failed.

Yeah figured as much. QT talked in the past how he was thankful but frustrated that he got into AEW as Cody's assistant and he basically had to beg to be allowed to wrestle. Like I mentioned earlier, when news came out about negotiations it was reported how much he was using his AAA run in his negotiations. Like I sympathize about wanting more, but QT's gonna be pretty low on the totem pole for someone who needs a push. He's not bad as a low card heel (I did like he and Solow trying to recruit Hook), but... you've got others that can perform that role that are also better in the ring. Sounds kind of like the Fuego situation where he's well liked but if he's gonna have a role it's gonna be as a jobber and he wants a different role

I can fully understand someone wanting to wrestle more and be pushed. I'm not entirely sure that WWE is the place that'll happen for QT though. He could have a good run in Impact, I think.

QT wants to be a wrestling star? Well, it is lofty goal, but good luck to him on that.

When he interfered in the Hobbs vs Wardlow match it killed both guys.

I won’t miss him particularly much in terms of watching him. He was good where he was as a low level goon boss however I will say that if he’s doing this because he wants to be more recognised as a wrestling star then I applaud him for going for it.

I mean, good on him for betting on himself, but he’s in for a rude awakening if he thinks he’d be more than a lower card jobber or something like an agent or manager, which is like the same thing he was doing in AEW. There is just way too much talent out there with more upside that should be pushed over QT.

"Guy in shirt and tie who gets decked trying to seperate main eventers from fighting" is about as far as I see him going in WWE.

You know... going back and readying interviews QT has done out of character and seeing some twitter arguments he's gotten in, I kind of think QT may have had a high opinion of himself

He fumbled REPEATEDLY! How in the f*** would anyone go from an all time promotion dud with the then hottest baby face Cody to an ice cold reveal when he helped Hobbs when the TNT title to a main attraction? The guy didn't have IT. Everything he was involved with was a stinker. I wouldn't even make QT a top star in OVW if I was booking
