Under the Dome lasted three seasons. I remember being shocked to see it got a second season, let alone a third.
Rookie Blue went 6 seasons. When I saw the commercial during the Lost finale, I gave it two seasons, top.
Grounded For Life got five seasons, which is remarkable seeing as it was cancelled by FOX three episodes into season 3 and got picked up on the WB.

Community and Brooklyn 99 Not because they weren't good. Just so many network changes In my opinion with Community the quality kept declining after season 3. 4 is bad, 5 is uneventful after Troy leaves and 6 has some good new characters the plots weren't great. Surprised it even got a 6th series to be honest.

Yes Dear lasted 6 seasons. It's probably the most mid sitcom ever, not horrible or unwatchable, but nothing groundbreaking either,,HOW DID THIS GET 6 SEASONS? I didn't know of that show's existence until 2004 when it came on syndication, whether it's on a local channel or on TBS. I read that it started in 2000, which blew my mind at that time because I never knew about it. Then again, I didn't really watch CBS at that point. I didn't mind the show for what it is, though, but it seemed like Greg Garcia (who was a co-producer for that show) hit his stride when he did "My Name is Earl" and "Raising Hope." Yeah, that’s where I saw it too when I still had Peachtree here. It was fine. I watched because I liked Anthony Clark’s standup. Still Standing was another one that was fine. Wasn’t good, wasn’t bad it just was. Perfect thing to watch at 2pm when nothing else is happening.

How the hell has Big Mouth gone as long as it has? Like, I have never seen a single person online talk positively about this show. In fact, 99% of the discourse I see is literally just "why is this show still on?" WHO IS WATCHING BIG MOUTH!? Likely enough people are hate watching it that it keeps getting more seasons and people who do hate watch it then act confused as to why it keeps getting renewed, not realizing that they are the ones feeding the machine. There are a few I know that do like the show. Personally I don't think it's a cult classic but it doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I think people get turned off by the art direction and never look back.

Had to look it up but Mrs Browns Boys has 5 series so just qualifies. How it ever made it past one episode I don’t know.

This thread might be a little different than the one on long running shows that are completely forgetton about. After all things like Murphy Brown were HUGE when they originally aired. I’m particularly curious for about shows most people probably never heard of. It may not be an ideal choice for this thread, but this thread was inspired by remembering The League (2009-2015) existed. SEVEN SEASONS. Do you count soap operas? If so, the Search For Tomorrow lasted 35 years on CBS and NBC. HOW DID THIS GET 6 SEASONS? You gotta put something on the air. Can't air nothing. Rules of Engagement somehow got 7 seasons. This was my pick. This show was the epitome of seat filler television.

I remember when the first season hit there was a lot of positive reaction, I had several people recommend it to me. I think I eventually managed to get through the first season but it took a while. Never bothered with the rest and was genuinely surprised it got so many seasons. Sort of in this line, I used to be a huge archer fan. Then I forgot about it for a while, then came back and watched a bunch then forgot about it for a long time again. I don't even know how many seasons behind I am at this point and I do still love parts of it, but how did it get so many seasons?

Saved By The Bell: The New Class lasted 7 SEASONS. And after the 1st season they would replace half the cast in all seasons except the last and that's because they took the last 24 episodes and split them into 2 seasons.

So has everything else that runs tv shows you’ve ever heard of. Then Yahoo Screen picked it up out of nowhere. It was the most random thing that’s ever happened to a tv show.

Last Man Standing, one of the worst excuses for a sitcom that I've ever seen, lasted 9 seasons. Long Island Medium lasted 14 seasons over an eight year period.

Mad TV went from 1995 until around 2009ish. I stopped watching after when Debra Wilson, Will Sasso and Nicole Sullivan left

How is Blue Bloods still going Old folks fall asleep with the TV on CBS on Fridays and snore thru Blue Bloods. Nah legit I know a pile of older retired people and they all watch it. Fridays is new episodees and ION and other channels air the reruns all the time. Pretty much anything on CBS that isn't reality tripe or LCD comedy is mostly watched by people over 60.

I could just list cbs shows and be here for days. Or CW shows. The bar for success on that network is stupidly low.
