I forgot to post this earlier, but they really need to do something about most of these theme songs. I watch Raw and SD every week and there were too many times when someone's theme would start and I'd have no f***ing idea who it was gonna be until they came out. I agree. And the royal rumble set up which I like, ads to not knowing whoβs coming out because itβs low down.

Watching that press conference, out if the almost 2 dozen reporters that were called on, only 5 asked legitimate questions.
Bayley got asked about her time training under Dusty Rhodes. That, at least, required more than a one-sentance answer.
Cody being asked one question about Vince, from his perspective as a former EVP. Again, something that requires more than a one-sentance answer.
HHH being asked 3 Vince questions. While he gave corporate answers, At least the reporters had the guts to ask those questions.
The rest? Cowards. You had this opportunity and you wasted it. They should be ashamed of themselves.

All I know is I hope the WWE/TNA Forbidden Door swings in the other direction and somebody in WWE shows up on an episode of Impact.
Because I wanna see Piper Niven vs. Jordynne Grace and I wanna see it now.

I hate to say this, but if you are hoping for well thought out questions at ANY wrestling press conference, you are probably not going to enjoy it. Same thing happens in AEW conferences.

I'm not against these YouTubers, TikTokers, Instagramers, and Podcasters using this as pretty much a vacation and free wrestling show. But at least OWN that. Don't pretend to call yourselves journalists, if you're not going to act like journalists. "I'm not here to rock the boat, I'm just here for the likes and graps."

I'd be pretty pissed if I were him, being stuck with the legacy of a shithead father-in-law and ex-boss to deal with when you're trying to rebuild the company's reputation and booking. It's gotta be a real drag. Could you imagine having to deal with that in your personal and professional life? Asshole's gone (again) and still causing grief.
I'd bet everything I have this asshole knew. He was on the investigation board and voted to let Vince back in. f*** him.Β Except he didnβt did he? He, Khan and Stephanie wanted Vince as far away from the company as possible after the first round of accusations

The moment he talked about how Voices of Wrestling was a good source is the moment I realized he was trolling.

Catching up on the show now. A few things:
*Cole all giddy for Pat is sooooo cute. I like it when Michael Cole gets to be a real human being.
*Xia should've been allowed to bring the swords into the ring. People should be allowed to bring sharp objects into the Rumble. People should get stabbed.
*Also, she should've had Warrior's Tea in the middle of the ring.
*It's a good thing Bianca vs. Jade was cut off because Tropicana Field would've caved in from the magnitude of that mother off.
*How do we feel about them showing the length of time wrestlers have been in the ring? I'm torn. It puts over the idea of the Rumble as this massive test of endurance, but also lines up with modern WWE's obsession with stats.
*Chelsea Green. Now that's a woman.

Hahahahah so Seth and Roman's skyboxes were next to each other, and as soon as Cody won, Seth got up and left and some people are speculating he's the one who called out to Roman, "It's over!" before leaving and Roman was like ? hahaha.

So I didn't watch the Rumble with FAN. As always I finish watching and I come here and man, I really mean it when I say the group response to stuff can make shit feel way more negative than it really was. I had no issues with any of the matches. Punk was winded but damn, that's about it. Everything else was fine for me.
Also I gotta say this, all those "Sorry Cody" jokes bruh, I been telling people he was good. That man is setttttttt.

My report from the Royal Rumble live in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida!
- Before I begin, let me first say that all the faults of Tropicana Field were readily apparent. It's too far from Tampa (a 33-minute drive to our hotel), there are too few entrances, the concourses are too small, so people are packed in tightly, and the cell service/WiFi is terribly slow, to the point that it was gumming up the works for the cashless transactions at the concession stands. Also, exiting the ballpark was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any event venue - we sat completely still in the parking lot, not moving an inch, for a good half-hour. It took about 90 minutes to exit the parking lot, but once we were out, it was relatively smooth sailing.
- Okay, now on to the event itself! The women's Royal Rumble was the match of the night. The crowd was red hot, they were super into Naomi, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, and most notably, Jade Cargill, who felt like an absolute star the second her music hit.
- The crowd kind of died for the two SmackDown championship matches, as the results felt fairly formulaic - there was no way Roman Reigns or Logan Paul were losing - so a shocking number of people wandered the concessions, used the restrooms, and hit the merchandise stands during a world championship match, which is something I don't ever recall seeing at a WWE show.
- The men's Rumble match, while fun, felt like it lacked a little bit in the way of surprises. Outside of Pat McAfee, nobody truly unexpected appeared. But I will say that as the clock ticked down on entrant no. 30, there was a surprisingly palpable sense of dread in my section that The Rock was about to show up. There was almost an audible sigh when his music didn't hit.
- Also, from my vantage point in the seats in rightfield, it was IMPOSSIBLE to see which the competitor's entrant numbers, as the only place it was displayed was on the entrance stage screen. There were like 20 different video boards where they could've said something like, "Cody Rhodes, no. 15," but nope, so we were completely lost as the Rumble got into the 20s.
- Overall it was a very fun show and I strongly recommend attending a Royal Rumble. The anticipation every time the clock appears on screen it indescribable, and the crowd is fully invested for a full hour.

Watching this back for my rankings... Was Carlito ever properly eliminated?
He takes that Create-A-Finisher move from Kross, and he goes under the bottom rope to the apron. It's hard to gauge for sure since the footage goes back and forth between the match and the entering Bobby Lashley, but I don't believe he ever goes back in to be thrown over the top rope because Kross is doing busy work on him until it's time for him to do his spot with Lashley, which starts with Lashley running into Carlito and bumping him off the apron, ostensibly eliminating him at that point.

If he wasn't, dude could have a brief tune up feud with Cody by claiming he should be the one facing Roman, and have that be the catalyst for a heel turn.

I know they can play fast and loose with the rules depending on whatever they want to do, but I've always just thought that if you aren't in the ring when the referees call for the bell, then you're eliminated. There was the whole thing with Hogan arguing the end of the first World War 3 match since he went under the ropes, after all. And then there's Hornswoggle in the 2008 Rumble, who I assume was considered an elimination via forfeit since he just left the ring at one point and disappeared for the rest of the match.

Reading a Rumble recap I saw the last 15 entrants after Cody 14 of them were Raw guys.
Awful booking.

Looking back at this card, it really needed one of the Women's champion to defend their belt just to add to some card diversity.
There was too many men matches that night.
