IMO it's great that we have two companies that can pay good money (for wrestling - should still be more) and offer different things. Anyone that appreciates the freedom to do other things and work elsewhere can pick AEW. Anyone that wants a more rigid schedule and straight forward way of working can go to WWE. Something for everyone.

I do understand the long term reasoning for it (NIL students will be cheaper and might benefit more long term being trained how you are) but the amount of free agents that have fallen out of WWE’s net is kind of silly. Especially with how someone like Jay White has taken to US wrestling like a duck to water. It makes things more interesting when it’s less one sided.

I suspect Jay White would have been in WWE if not for when his contract came up. Okada seems to be ideal for AEW and the same goes for Ospreay. My guess is WWE is more likely to go start picking up the guys that are disgruntled, misused or lost in the AEW system and turn them into superstars - e.g. Hobbs, Starks, Wardlow, Ethan Page, etc. The AEW roster's too loaded right now to keep everyone truly happy.

AEW needs people, WWE needs people for roles.

There should be a trade. WWE gets Griff Garrison. AEW gets AJ Styles.

This isn't a criticism of Mone herself, but that is 'a source close to CM Punk says...' level of reporting.

Mike Johnson really did some deep unpaid PR work for her on that one

Have to say, even if the narrative was that the first week wasn’t great ratings wise, they’re pushing the boat out on hyping Mercedes as a big signing.
Also, when you have Reggie Miller hype her up during Boston’s game on Thursday, it both makes her come off as a big deal to an outsider audience and makes it seem like the WBD relationship is going swimmingly.

Absolutely hilarious if this is a deliberate continuity nod. We'll see on Wednesday, I suppose.

Being AEW's version of rock or cena is a gigantic ask. If they're gonna do this, she's gonna have to main event every week and they have to give her the keys to the franchise

She'll get pushed for a bit, lose her title match, get fed up with being on TV for 5 minutes, and walk out.

It's been great recently, like the last few months have built considerable momentum up and down the card for multiple women No one has vanished after losing a match, and Mone won't either, she has one of the better contracts in the company now.

I hope you're right. I love most of the women in AEW, & Sasha has the ability to be the best woman's wrestler on the planet. I'm rooting for her.

I love the women too and it's why I'm glad they're getting more time That Rampage Tag Team Street Fight looks like a complete banger on paper

They kinda have put women's focus there, women have main evented a lot, sometimes it gets two women's matches. Collision should get more women's matches too, they've had some good matches there.
