Midcard Mafia and I stand by that statement.
You can’t have Taven and Bennett and Roddy go from those bitchmade comedy goof skits to “threats to the company”. And I hate to see Wardlow in another faction cause that tells me TK doesn’t have a f***ing clue to do with this dude who people want to cheer.

I feel like this is a thing where people dump on the group early and they need time to develop as a cohesive unit The trouble is that Adam Cole has spent years in heel factions with three of the four dudes beside him; it doesn't feel like there should be gel time for them to get into a groove with this. This had a long time in the oven and aside from Wardlow the people involved with one another are used to working each other, to the point that that chemistry specifically helped make the segments in the months before this between everyone involved so well received. The cohesive unit is here and it's already this.

That shit was dire to me. I could not give any less of a f***. The name, the theme. ROH jabroni’s. Roderick Strong default wrestler ass. Poor Cole f***ing injured and Wardlow with the bed head. f***ing yikes. I kept thinking at the end, they gotta add someone or some people. Shit’s lame. I really want to like this group, but I just can't get into them. It doesn't help that BCG was doing a better version of the same concept before Juice got injured. I actually preferred these guys a part. Roddy and the Kingdom were at least presenting a funny lower card trios. Wardlow had a mission statement to take out MJF. Cole turning on MJF didn't need a group. They added three unique stories to the show. Now they make up one underwhelming segment per show. You're completely right about Wardlow. He doesn't even look like he cares anymore. He has the "I am just here because they pay me vibes." The story clearly calls for him to take the world title in the next year and he isn't even trying to present himself in that light. I am confident that the idea is for Wardlow to be the face that won't give up the title to Cole. They have a long way to make Wardlow sympathetic or even interesting and his mic skills aren't getting him there.

It's alright for me, since I never watched much NXT, anyway, so to me this is more just a "hey, the Kingdom's mostly back together!" moment I like instead of feeling tired of certain combinations or arrangements.
Come to think of it, that was like me with the nWo circa 1998-1999; I wasn't really watching in '96-'97, so when everyone else was sick of it I was still on board for a little bit.

They seem really committed to the idea of main eventer Wardlow and I just don't think he has it. He has his place but he just isn't good enough to hang at that level and I can't see him ever getting anywhere near as over as he was again.

I, for one, feel outrageously misled that Matt Taven doesn't actually love giraffes and was just trying to dupe the "melvins" into a false sense of security.
f*** that guy!

Turning BCG face would at least completely wash away the MJF feud from last year, so far it looks like BCG and the Acclaimed are going to carry this story on their back.

Another thing is they seem be building two "Monster in heel faction gets mistreated and turns face" angles that you can see coming a mile away with Wardlow and Killswitch.

It's the second time that they have done this with Wardlow, and this time around he is a lot less sympathetic. Dude took the role of being the heavy of MJF so he could provide for his family. This time, he's in this group because he wants to ruin MJF, all the while we have seen Max try so hard to be a better person. Put that with Wardlow looks a lot less motivated this time around and it's a lot harder to get excited for another face run that goes nowhere.

They need to start winning titles if they want to be taken seriously.

They need to start winning titles if they want to be taken seriously. You say that like the ROH tag titles are meaningless. Which is fair, cause they mostly are.

Both Wardlow and MJF made a point of addressing their past behaviour, flaws and how they're trying to change when they turned face. It's difficult to then undo all that with another cycle of heel and face turns without it feeling hollow. Some can move on without it being an issue but I'm not convinced Wardlow is one of them. Still at least he (and Roddy) has something people can latch onto. If you asked the average viewer to name a Taven or Bennett trademark move I think they'd struggle.

Undisputed Retribution. Man...I feel bad for these guys. They're stuck in a shifty gimmick and angle Nah it ain't anywhere near that level at all This Stable at worst is building itself slowly Retribution was dead on arrival and had to completely change their gimmick and look like two weeks in because the very obvious thing they were referencing was getting WWE very unwanted press. I also think everyone involved in this is fine and isn't being stuck with some gimmick like "T-Bar" or "Slapjack"...

They got good heat in Jacksonville. They just need to do something big soon to follow up on the Worlds End angle. Whether that be another major beatdown or a big match or winning a title.

They need Roddy to beat OC for the International title and KOR is apparently expected to return in 2 month at least.
