Glad I saw them in July a few years ago, the day after Zach f***ed up his leg, but I barely considered them an active band with how little they do sooo... not shocking

It's always seemed like Zack had to be dragged back in kicking and screaming. I don't think he and Tom like each other very much.

They haven't put out any original material in like 25 years, I don't know why they were even touring to begin with.

Zack: "F*** you, I won't do what you tell me!".
Tom: "....I just was asking what you wanted from catering".

âBefore we start, we have a lost Rage Against The Machine here. If they are not claimed within the next hour, they will legally become the property of Sony Entertainment"

Will Audioslave come back at least? With their lead singer long dead?

It's always seemed like Zack had to be dragged back in kicking and screaming. I don't think he and Tom like each other very much. At this point I look forward more to him doing new music with a run the jewels than Rage

They became Rage For The Machine a long time ago. Nothing of value is lost.

It's always seemed like Zack had to be dragged back in kicking and screaming. I don't think he and Tom like each other very much. I don't know either guy personally but they seem like polar opposites despite having very similar politics. Zack is super-political with his lyrics but otherwise seems to keep a low profile outside of guest appearances, while Tom very much likes stardom and being seen as a revolutionary hero (well, as revolutionary as one can get writing for the New York Times and having a show on Sirius).

Yeah, I've always felt like Zack likes to be viewed as a progressive beat poet with a band, while Morello embraces being a rock star. Which would make perfect sense if the RARHOF induction that only Morello attended was the catalyst for this latest breakup.

Morello does a lot of folk music lately, too. I think he sees himself more in that vein these days, like a Woody Guthrie type.

They became Rage For The Machine a long time ago. Nothing of value is lost. Considering all their albums were released on a major label, Epic, they were always raging for the machine.
