Definitely a B show but a solid B show.
Dustin Rhodes, Kerry Von Erich, Jake Roberts, Rick Martel, Bret Hart, Tito and Perfect all can go.
I wouldn't have gone though, unless I was a local and had no other WWF shows nearby.

Tugboat vs. The Barbarian is so up my alley. I wish it were filmed.

I almost went to that one, but ended up with a much better first live show:
WWF @ Huntington, WV – Civic Center – May 17, 1992 Crush vs. Kato Jim Duggan vs. Repo Man The Nasty Boys vs. Owen Hart & Koko B. Ware WWF IC Champion Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels The Legion of Doom vs. the Beverly Brothers The Ultimate Warrior vs. Papa Shango
It’s missing El Matador’s match, but I can’t tell from my photos who he faced.

Also, I’m just here to vent that the entire state of West Virginia’s last televised WWE event was in 1998.

The Hart Foundation Vs Earthquake and Dino Bravo match is almost an all Canadian matchup except Jim was from Reno, Nevada.

Morgantown, Charleston and Huntington aren't exactly destination cities these days unless they update facilities.

I believe he did move to Canada after getting married (Natalya is listed as being born in Calgary) so 3 natives and 1 resident.

I had a friend who was in the front row for this show, btw. He says the only things that he can remember are Mr. Perfect getting crotched on the guardrail and Kerry Von Erich playfully giving the finger to someone at ringside (which he remembers because that’s when he learned what that gesture meant).

The Hart Foundation vs. Quake and Bravo is the kind of match I would've been really curious about back in the day.

This was just five days before the rumble and Buddy Rose was still here. He was scheduled for the rumble but left right before. I wonder why. I would imagine it would have been a decent pay check. Maybe they wanted him in too long.

Pittsburgh is a larger city and larger market than all 3 and the rest of West Virginia will either hit that show, a show in Ohio, or one in Virginia and Maryland. The state just doesn't justify that anymore and its unfortunate because I miss Raws hosted from lesser known cities, it added to the realness of the crowd because they were from that area. Nowadays its a hodge podge of major cities hosting everyone coming in and the crowds being less from that city and more of the surrounding area.

Sam Houston actually lasted til March of 1990 and then got a trio of bookings that summer. Looking at the timing of him coming back in 91, I'd have to guess that Dustin Rhodes gave his notice since his dad was leaving and they called up Sam to fill that low-card babyface role again and just got him started before Dustin actually left.

Was DiBiase originally scheduled to face the Tornado? Looks like he was missing some shows during that time. That's an odd spot for Virgil. Maybe they were deliberately giving him some work in the ring before his turn at the Rumble and his program with DiBiase.
